Alright, Part 2...
On one hand, I like the Karl storyline (I don't remember this being in the movie, most likely cut for time) with him being a prime suspect in Denning's murder. We also find out, kind of in passing, that he has a not-so-stellar history.
On the other hand, certain parts involving Regan were super hard to read. The infamous crucifix scene was more graphic than the movie. And I'm not going to lie, I'm not the biggest fan of the words 'eroticism' and 'sensually' being used in this scene. Call me crazy, but I don't think they accurately describe what's happening, and I'm starting to understand more why this book is so controversial.
Now that I'm halfway through the book, I'm curious as to when the exorcism will happen and how much of the book it will take up compared to the movie!
