Hey everyone!! I am pretty much exclusively audio books unless there is a book I really want to read that isn't on audio:) I mainly listen to adult romance/ Paranormal romance with a fair amount of erotica thrown in just has to be written well with a good plot:) I have also started enjoying mystery thriller types.

Welcome Krista. I'm mainly audio romance as well. I read so slow I'd barely get through 3 books a month., At least with audios I can get through much more.

I love audio also and like you if it is a book I really want not in audio, I would get and text to speech it as if it was audio 😁, however audio gets me to my goal with reading.

Welcome! I'm also an audio book lover. I'm a very slow reader so I only get through 2 books a month. But audios? I can crank them out about 20 a month. LOL

I just started listening to Audio books last year. I started out by listening on one phone and reading a different book on my personal phone but after a couple of months of that I decided I preferred listening and reading the same book simultaneously. I read 350+ wpm so even when I play the audio on accelerated speed (I won't go above 1.2), I still fast forward through the audio if I get a couple of chapters ahead in the reading side. I won't even buy a new release anymore until the audible version is released. And I'm going back and buying the audibles of all of my favorite books by my favorite authors.

I read/listen to an average of 1-2 books per day.

That’s pretty amazing, Debbie! I understand why you don’t speed up the audio as above 1.25 it begins to sound funny, at least to me.

So glad to know there are other audiobook addicts out there! I have listened to literally thousands and thousands of audiobooks over the past few years.i only read a book anymore if I'm going to be near water or away from cell service or power or it's part of a series that's available in print faster such as Emma M Lyon.

I mostly read/listen to Regency/Victorian romance (Loretta Chase, Barbara Metzger, Elisa Braden, etc.), romantasy (monsters, fae, etc) paranormals/urban (Ilona Andrews, LE Wilson, etc), classics, cozy and paranormal mysteries and quirky things (Christopher Moore, Terry Pratchett, etc.)
NO contemporary romance, MM, cats or pets, horror, suspense, western/religious themes, YA or new adult. I list my NOs because I hate having them but really really have read enough to know what I prefer but I often find great exceptions recommended to me.
Favorite narrators Kate Reading, Rosalyn Landor, Ashford McNab, Mary Sarah, Simon Prebble, Pippa Rathborn and on and on! But in a pinch I can even handle text to speech or AI. I feel guilty about it though lol

Ugh enough about me. But really love audiobooks!

Aloha and Howdy! I'm Audrey and I'm a lifelong reader of swoony romance books.

I had a period of grief where I was unable to read -- too much noise in my head -- which has led me to reading now voraciously to make up for lost time. I prefer audiobooks and joined this group to chat all things romance....and if the romance is realistic (please don't cheat me with an "as-if" scenario!), all the better! I read all genres but when life gets too people-y, I'll sink my teeth and toes into a romance. If the MMC is a hockey player, you won't hear me complain. :D

My favorite narrators are Julia Whelan and Aiden Snow.
