Sunday check-in: Where are you? 2020
I'm in Brooklyn, 1912, enjoying the simplicity of life at the time. Still it's not easy because my family is very poor.
I feel like I've been stuck in the same places for weeks. Dodge City, Kansas and somewhere in a sort of fantasy Nigeria.
I'm in the Pacific Northwest after another eruption of Mount St Helens. We're cut off and there are strange animals in the woods.Later today, I'll be in Gross-Rosen, a concentration camp. In 1945 this camp was part of Germany, but today it resides in Poland.
I seem to be stuck in my own life. I am a middle-aged woman living in the Chicago suburbs, I have a devoted husband. I am on my way to book group. I am not sure why I am reading this, I should just live it. I hope something exciting happens soon. I mean in the book not my life. LOL
I just finished a book mainly in Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland in Aus. My parents were the first Asian immigrants to the area from Hong Kong, which posed many weird happenings. My four siblings and I dealt with all the weirdness that just happens with families, let alone this odd Chinese/Australian mix of cultures within and outside our family.
I am currently in Ashland, Oregon investigating a strange old house. I have been in an unknown fantasyland learning about magic and fighting a dragon in his lair. It was close, but I survived. Many of my companions are no more, but the dragon lives.
Janice- another eruption??? I’m glad I’m down in Ashland! I lived through the last eruption and it was A MESS in my home town. We shoveled ash off the roofs and streets for weeks.

Janice wrote: "My mistake - it was Mount Ranier that erupted in the book. See how well I pay attention? LOL! ..."I am not sure if it will be safe even Ashland if Mt. Ranier goes. You may be okay way up where you are, but depending on how big the eruption is, the whole Pacific Northwest is supposed to be wiped out.
My Ashland visit ended well. The killer was arrested and the two investigators that I met in their first story is off to enjoy some fun in the sun in Hawaii before they return home to New York.
I am dead. Make that undead. I am trying decide if its okay to date a girl if you just ate her boyfriends brain. I think i will go ride up and down on the escalator until i figure it our

I’m in Guthrie, Vermont. I think I just agreed to learn how to bake a burnt sugar cake with maple icing.
Cherie wrote: "I’m in Guthrie, Vermont. I think I just agreed to learn how to bake a burnt sugar cake with maple icing."That sounds nice.
I believe I'm headed to the Sierra Nevada mountain range. I'm going to be searching for a lost site of the Donner party.

I am in fantasy Nigeria trying to bring magic back. And I'm also heading to a city i've never been before trying to outrun the trollocs and a fade.

I'm in upstate New York in a very small town. I came to see if I can find out about my missing aunt. There is something suspicious about this area, lots of murders.
I'm with Sarah, running for my life. And I'm in Derry, Maine where I think I'm being haunted by my wife.
I am in Barcelona in 1957. A stranger just came in my bookstore and bought a expensive book for my friend. And left a note as strange as the visitor itself.
I have not gotten back into the kitchen since this morning, but I am going back really soon. I ended up in a dystopian Los Angles fighting in a war for my country.
I am in New York trying to find out how my Dad went from rags to riches and if I can work out that formula too because studying to be a doctor isn't my thing.
I wish I was there with you. I would love to see Egypt. I would also love to meet Hercule. I am one of his biggest fans
@Rene it’s my first novel with Hercule in it. I have only read Agatha Christie once before and that was for a toppler lol
Oh wow... it's Sunday again. Well, that snuck up on me. lolI am heading to a Florida college town where a lot of drinking occurs and a couple of young men from my school that sexually assaulted women have been eaten by alligators. I'm wondering if my angry man-hating roommate had anything to do with it.
I'm also reluctantly heading back to my childhood home to help my mother who is suffering from dementia and just had a fall. Twenty five years ago two of my friends ritualistically killed another of my friends here.
Indeed. This last week passed way too fast.I'm in Vardo Island in Norway in 1617. A storm has sank our men's ships and al the 40 of them died. This is a huge stroke for our small village. I'm not sure what is going to happen next.
I'm on my way to Scotland being pursued by aliens. I'm also in a fantasy land running from assassins.
Gee! I'm on the run evrywhere.
I'm still in upstate New York. (I'm just having a difficult time picking up anything to read right now. I think I am in a slump.)
I am in Caracas Venezuela. I am hunting a deserter. I seem to be leaving a very high body count. So far I have killed 4 people. I seem to have wandered out of my cozy mystery. I miss all the tea shops and cats
I’m in a fairytale world. I have been climbing up a beanstalk all day and have arrived at the top in the giant world. A dragon just swooped down at me and I stumbled back into the beanstalk and wedged myself between the twisting vines. Oh, it is not a dragon. It is a giant bird. Now what am I going to do?
Because a hold snuck up on me, my eyes have to leave Barcelona for Japan. I just started, reading a letter form an old friend. My ears are in Ireland, at the hospital, recovering from a beating I took when my flat was robbed.
I have inherited an old house from my aunt, along with her 5 cats. So I've decided to turn the house into a pet-friendly hotel.
I don't remember the name of the town I'm in, but I'm hoping to solve the mystery today of what happened to the kid who killed my friend 25 years ago and what is going on in the town now.Once I'm finished solving the mystery, I'll be heading to Cornwall and the abandoned lake house with Jayme and Margo and some others.
