I've read . I wanted to start The Nightingale but I think I want to finish with Pet Sematary for this month since I have a little less than a hundred pages. Might then start The Nightingale this month. Or I might not.

I finished listening to To Kingdom Come . It was a good, if convoluted story. The author is still slowly leaking information about two main characters. I think this will continue. I like them, but they can wait for me to read the next series book.

I started listening to Alone on the Wall . I finished almost half of the book before I could stop myself and go to bed. I kept looking at the picture of this guy and listening and was totally amazed at what he has done. Excellent narration!

I can understand where you're at too, Janice. My real life book club just read Caleb's Crossing and I wasn't in the mood. I tried the paper copy and the audio, but just kept falling asleep so I skipped it. I felt kind of bad, but was happy to move on to more interesting reads.

I finished my audiobook, The Lake House and really enjoyed it. I won't have time to listen tomorrow, so that puts me in perfect timing for the buddy read of Fool's Errand on Saturday.

Don't tell anyone, but I have a major crush on Alex Honnold. My friend and I have been going to the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour for the last 7 years (at least), and we always look forward to his films. They haven't featured him in the last two years and we feel gyped. He had a quick cameo this year and we got all excited. LOL!

I have Alone on the Wall on audiobook and hope to get to it soon.

I finished The Perfect Wife. It was a great techo thriller. Close to 5 star but for a small plot detail that didn't work for me.

Started The Invited last night and plan to start Fool's Errand as a buddy read later today.

I just finished The Art of Hearing Heartbeats. It was not at all what I expected, but it was an engaging book and a sweet, sad love story.

I just started The Nowhere Man. Still engaging, but completely different from my last read. lol

I started The Fated Sky on Monday as my hubby and I had a long drive. We have the same long drive next week and again the week after as I have lots of lovely hospital procedures coming up LOL So anyway, it looks like I will finish that book in early feb and not in time for the Stars and Wars challenge as I'd hoped.

I finished The Invited for the TT challenge. It was so boring that I kept nodding off while I listened. Honestly, it was dire! Plus I didn't care for the narration at all.

I started The Paths Between Worlds today. Liking it so far. It is read by Kate Reading. I usually find her reading drives me nuts (there is a very obvious pun there but I won't make it haha) but I'm tolerating her well this time. I'll try to slot it into the TT if I can.

He and his wife Sarah Ferguson and best pal, the late Mark Colvin are three of my favourite Aussies. It was awful when Mark died, and I'm sorry Tony and Sarah are off to China (her job), but he's writing his third book!

I picked the perfect children's picture book to enjoy during the Australian Open, Evonne Goolagong by Mª Isabel Sánchez Vegara. My review has illustrations and a couple of photos. She is such an Aussie icon!

I finished reading The Upside of Stress: Why Stress Is Good for You, and How to Get Good at It which I thought was just fantastic. Gave me a lot of food for thought. Very interesting. I've now started Self Compassion. I already owned it but an aspect of self-compassion was mentioned in the book I just read so I thought I'd continue things on.

I'm still working my way through The Photographer of the Lost. It's slow going, but I'm really enjoying it.

I'm now starting The Hunting Party. It's a "just because" book. I'm in the mood for a thriller/mystery and I've been hearing a lot of good things about this one. Added bonus is it's set in the Scottish Highlands.

My favourite of the Amazon Original Stories "Inheritance" collection is Can You Feel This? by Julie Orringer.
Young couple, wife in labour, race to hospital - but it's more than that, both before and after, and beautifully done.

I loved the second book of Michael Robotham's Joe O'Loughlin series, Lost, aka The Drowning Man. Good pace, good plot, characters I cared about, plus the author is an award-winning Aussie!
What more could I ask?

Michael Robotham is one of my favourite authors and I always thought he was english! Thanks for educating me 😅
