What are you reading? - 2020

I will start The Lake House today.

I will start The Lake House today."
I have that planned for task this year.

I am now rereading The Binding. I read it last year and enjoyed it, and it's one of those books that I always said I would like to read again. Now is that time 🙂

I picked back up with The Calculating Stars and can start back with the shuffle of the other two print books I had already started and my audiobook, which is at 58%.

That's disappointing, Mars. Are you in a bit of a rut or is it just that book that isn't working for you?

I started yesterday Strange Pilgrims, and will start today For the Love of Men: A New Vision for Mindful Masculinity.

I'm really enjoying it. The short chapters actually make me keep reading.

I'm starting The Art of Hearing Heartbeats for my RL book club.

I'm not so sure. I guess it just wasn't what I expected of it? I don't know, I'm just not 100% into it

I really enjoyed this book when I read it. Quite different to his a song of ice and fire series.

Started Conclave

I'm starting The Art of Hearing Heartbeats for my RL boo..."
Will be interested what you think, Kristie.

I think I'll also pick back up on Amelia Westlake Was Never Here while I'm at it.

Recursion will fit Card 16 - Art/Literature: Nay - genre is time travel, if you have that task. . I'm hoping to get to it by the end of the month.

You're a star Jayme! Thank you. Yes I too have that task to do :-)

As for my reread of The Binding, I'm enjoying it just as much as I did the first time round :)

I am almost finished with The Ten Thousand Doors of January. I will move over to Dread Nation and The Calculating Stars after that. I still have Captain Blood Returns and King Rat to finish before starting any more.

The Binding was one of my favourites from last year Lisa.
I finished The Silent Patient last night and it was one of those books that made my wish I had the physical copy just so I could throw it at the wall! It was a buddy read and it will fit a task for the tt challenge.
I'm really enjoying Conclave. I've wondered what was going on behind the scenes with those princes of the church!!!

I am listening to The Silent Patient for the buddy read, I am about at 25%. I cannot say I do not like it but I am not excited about it either.

I started To Kingdom Come. Now, these guys, I can care about.
Janice - I saw what you said about getting caught up listening to the accents in the audiobook. I'm trying not to let it distract me. :o)

I can't wait to read that one. I just read the first Orphan X book and as soon as I'm done my RL book club book I'm going to work through the rest of the series.

I'm supposed to be reading The Little Old Lady Who Broke All the Rules for my real life book club next week. But I don't want to read it. It has a 3.2 rating on GR's, and I haven't really enjoyed the Scandinavian humour that I've read (The 100-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared and The Secret Diary of Hendrik Groen, 83¼ Years Old). I'm being really whiny about this book, aren't I?

I enjoyed the 100 year old man and I've seen the book you mention before. It attracted me because of the title but I never added it to my tbr because of the rating. If you do read it I'd love to hear your thoughts!

The new one released this year is made by BBC and HBO. Lots of familiar faces in there. I highly recommend, if you can get your hands on it. And coz it's made with the BBC there are only 8 episodes in the series, so not too long.
However, I am not sure if it would be better to read the book first... It may be actually.
Anyway, much much better than The Golden Compass with Nicole Kidman.
