It is an excellent book, Christa Wolf is one of my favourite authors, I'm planning to read more of her work as part of my challenge.

Mann did a terrific job with all the characters making them interesting and their antics sometimes amusing throughout. The chapter entitled Snow was for me a highlight. I felt truly nervous for Hans Castorp.
Which Wolf will you now read? she interests me greatly and I'm not sure where to start.
