James is a mixture of things but one thing most people agree on is that he is secretive bordering on mysterious. He never talks about himself as such- he will talk about what he is studying and his favourite movie but he doesn't talk about anything meaningful or about how he feels. He has his secrets and keeps them close to his chest only telling people them if he has something to gain by it which makes him rather manipulative as he manipulates the emotions of those around him to react positively to him. James has something about him that draws you deeper and deeper into his world and his lifestyle. People especially his family describe him as debauched due to the many ménage de trios and the fact he takes part in drunken revelry. James is naturally charming and has no small amount of charisma that persuades men to fall into bed with him as well as helping him to get what he wants from others. James is very gracious when he doesn't get what he wants-one the surface anyway, behind closed doors it is a different story, he schemes and plots revenge on the person who has thwarted him. Never having been in a serious or really tough situation before other than coming out as gay to his father he doesn't really know how he will react, his first instinct when faced with something he doesn't want to confront is to out it off for along as possible and even then he is very cagey. Generally when people look at him from across the corridor or here him speaking to one of his classmates they see a polite, charming young man, they don't see the darkness that any one of his formal acquaintances see.

Hobbies and Interests: James interests are fairly typical for a gay guy almost stereotypical in fact. He is into fashion, botany- the study of plants and filming. James always had an interest in fashion and unlike other boys wouldn't wear whatever their nurses/mother decided to put them in. He had to pick the outfits himself and never liked anything that didn't match. This used to greatly annoy his father as he didn't think boys should be involved in anything so girly. His love of botany was an accident a way to escape his father when he is at home.

History: James was born on the 12th December inside the Lannister mansion- Highgarden. More specifically his mothers room as she wanted to have a home birth rather than go to hospital. A few hours after she had James, James' younger brother Lucien followed. James is the 8th of his name in his family because it is traditional for the Lannister's to name their first born son James. So in most cases instead of being called by his first name at home James is referred to by his second name Dorian. James had a normal childhood for a boy of his status- a firstborn son of a aristocratic family set to inherit a dukedom. He was fed by a wet nurse who then turned into his nanny and raised the young boy until he was old enough to attract his father's attention and then his father took over the raising of the boy. His father hired him a tutor at the young age of 4 and he was schooled in both magical and non-magical subjects. James never really had much interest in them but if he didn't get more than 80% in his exams his father just to kick him around saying her didn't want a "dumb kid" so James learnt pretty quickly to actually try on his exams just so he didn't get kicked around. At 11 years old he was sent to Westeros Academy and became something of an elusive figure as he would only talk to people of his own class but even then he only talked to a few of them. It interested the general student body as James didn't seem stuck up like so many of the rich and wealthy were. When James was 13 he kissed his first guy and had a complete panic attack over it as boys were supposed to like girls not other boys but after some extensive research he realised that liking boys was normal- well not normal but it was okay even if no-one else accepted it. It took him another 2 years to come out of the closet and even that was an accident as his father walked in on him having sex with a servant. His father was apologetic with rage and told his son to hide the disgusting habit he had picked up from some disreputable scoundrel at his school but James did the exact opposite. He started attending drunken revels and other disreputable places. He was also often caught in various compromising positions with various men sometimes more than one man which gained him a reputation. But things have been different since the start of this year as he is trying to attract the attention of the guy he likes- a guy who is more than likely straight but if anyone could turn someone gay it would be James.
