Time and again, Aaron was able to evade local, state and federal law enforcement. Was he that cunning, law enforcement that ineffective or the region that challenging?

While he was cunning and lucky, a lot of this was contrived by the author to keep the story going.

I agree, Lauren. It was working for me until he escaped the third time.

He made a study of the area, he was smart and determined. The region was hard and law enforcement has a lot to deal with, but yeah, they should have been able to catch him.

I think the region and storm made finding him challenging, Once they knew he was in the area and with so much back up, I was surprised that he kept getting away.

I was surprised that he kept alluding them too. Three times was a bit over the top.

Why did they let Jo out of the helicopter after the sheep incident? Or at any subsequent time until Aaron was no longer possibly in the area? This one got my goat {ha, not my sheep}.
