Jo’s instincts about John Miller, aka Aaron Doherty, we’re screaming at her to keep her distance and not trust him but she kept talking herself out of it. Why do you think so many women do that?

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1812 comments Women are taught from an early age to be polite and agreeable. Anytime a woman acts on her instincts, she is being "emotional" and "irrational".
Total BS! Women need to trust their instincts.

I listened to a well known security expert years ago lament the fact that women have great instincts that they are taught to ignore. The “women’s intuition” is admired when it comes to friends and family but not strangers. I never forgot that interview and my trusting my instincts has saved me from some troublesome situations on many occasions. I wanted to scream at Jo to trust herself.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2973 comments Her instincts, and me, were screaming at her not to trust this guy, but her rational brain was telling her there was no basic for what her instincts were telling her.

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 909 comments I wanted to scream at Jo too, Jonetta. Better to be safe than sorry. I think we are taught to not trust our intuition but many times it would save us. She just kept thinking that she was wrong.

Melissa (melissasd) | 676 comments I think that since Jo was still recovering from her family's death that she blew off her instincts about Aaron thinking it was just the trauma speaking. She didn't know him and didn't trust him, but was still nice to him because he was staying at her lodge.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1203 comments Ditto. Also, she knew that leaving him out in that cold would be a death sentence. What a horrid situation.
