Christopher was scared that Millie was going to die. He entrusted her care to Damien and Damien failed to protect her. I wasn't surprised Christopher went after Damien.
Christopher trusted Dorian to keep Millie safe and viewed his inability to do so as a betrayal. I think that Dorian understood this and would have reacted in the same way had the roles been reversed. I really enjoyed the dynamics of Dorian and Christopher's relationship. Their brotherhood by choice is more meaningful than any biological connection.
I loved everything about this scene for the reasons you state, Lauren. These are complicated men who have a complicated relationship, both now with women who have completely upended them. Their relationship with each other is by choice and the closest they can come to familial ties. They’re both in uncharted waters and the author captured the dynamics wonderfully.
