Series Read: The Selection

I read the first three books and I'm probably the only one who seriously didn't enjoy them.

I'm about a 100 pages in. I think I'll try to finish it today, but at the same time I'm not ready to say goodbye to this series. :(

Aw, that's a shame. I was feeling really generous when I read them so I glossed over a lot of the problems I had, but the first two were still just OK for me. I can definitely see why some people think they're bad books. What was it that you didn't like about them? :)

I didn't like the characters, especially America. I felt that she cried almost every other chapter. The sequence of events in the book seemed repetitive to me as well.

Haha, I actually do remember America crying quite a lot. I agree the characters weren't the best - I guess I was reading it more for the concept of the Selection and all that.

Wow, you must have been really confused while reading book 5! I'd have been so annoyed if that happened to me. :D

Oh I so was! Book 4 is sorting it out in my mind now.

Haha, I mixed up two books in a series once because of a printing error where their blurbs were mixed up, and I was like wait... wasn't this all resolved in the last book? Hope you enjoy The Heir. :)

I am so far about halfway so not much to go now. Then just the short stories book to go after that. :)
