Life (depression/anxiety/grief) hit like a semi this weekend and has me a complete mess. Haven't read/listened to much of anything and really not motivated to at all. Going to push this next week while at work to finish all the currently reading books I have going but backing off for March.. going to give myself some time to breathe and heal.
I am so sorry Heather! I have those moments too and I just can't concentrate at all to read when dealing with depression or anxiety. Do what you need to do to heal! <3
February stats:16 finished
5 were 5-stars
9 were 4-stars
1 was 3-stars
1 was 2-stars
I have finished one series for the year.
I'm sending you all the positive vibes and well wishes, Heather! As previously mentioned, take the time you need to take care of yourself ❤
Hugs and positive vibes to you, Heather! Hope it would be better soon. For me this month was also not very good since I had a shoulder fracture (it's still being healed), but I already can use both hands to write messages :)
First 1-star rating of the year done...
.. this was a pretty big yikes for me. I'll continue with the series because I'm dumb but no high hopes here..
Oh no 😬 I'm curious, because usually if I give a book 1 star (or even 2 stars!) I do not want to go near that series again, what is it about this series that makes you want to go on with it even though you didn't enjoy it? Is it because you're 2 books in and you're invested, or something else? I am genuinely curious 😅
I'm a glutton for punishment? I enjoyed the first book well enough so I guess I'm just still trying to hold on to that? Not really sure.
😂 It makes sense that you want to continue with it since you enjoyed the first. And I hope the series gets better for you! Maybe this book just suffered from Second Book Syndrome or whatever people call it. Lol.
Ouch! I think you must be a glutton for punishment. Although I do get wanting to give it another go since book 1 was enjoyable
Finished
which was an arc I won a few months back and was super slow to get to but ended up loving it! So adorable even though it made me cry a bit lol.
Brittany wrote: "Good to know! I think that one looks fabulous"It was! And a super quick read! I forget sometimes how much I enjoy a good contemporary.
Finished
which adds a completed series to my stats. It was a series I started this year, though, so it didn't help me clear off any old ones >.<
Liliana wrote: "But it's still a series you had on your tbr so hey, hurray for that. Lol."For sure! I ended up checking out the audios from my library but have owned the ebooks for years so it was nice to finally get them done.
That is a poetry book I might actually be able to read. Not usually my thing.
And a finished series is still a finished series!
And a finished series is still a finished series!
Not usually my thing either but my second Lovelace poetry book and I like her stuff. Plus, you can knock it out in an hour or so!
Oh I've meant to read that for a while now! I am not the biggest poetry fan but sometimes I'm all in for empowering quotes!
This one hit me pretty hard due to some of the content being relatable to a loss in my life so that was surprising for me. Also some great book-ish quotes from it!
Just finished
which completes another series on my list! (for now, there will be more released in the future but not until 2021).

That's great!! I appreciate relatable content like that.
And yay for up to date on another series

I'm pretty excited for them! Mostly fairly open so easy to work within any genres I feel like reading!
Finished
which is the last of Amanda Lovelace's poetry series. It also means I have finished two series - Women Are Some Kind of Magic which I started in 2019, and Things That Haunt You that I started this month. Sometimes it is nice to have a quick read and in each of hers I found something to relate or connect to!
Thanks! I'll hopefully be finishing Bitterblue tonight at work as well so that will be another series and my March PIFM pick finished!
I've only read the Monsters of Verity duology by V.E. but it was so messy and wonderful that I am sure this is her personal writing style and I love it!
YES!! I adore VE Schwab. I still have a few of hers to read but I absolutely adored all the ones I've read (Cassidy Blake, ADSOM, Monsters of Verity, Vicious)
I've read Monsters of Verity, Cassidy Blake, the first Archived book and The Near Witch. But I am definitely a fan and looking forward to reading more this year.

They're on my TBR for this year! I'm super looking forward to them as so many of my GR friends have loved them!
YES to Shades of Magic. They are phenomenal. I haven't read Vengeful yet but I can't wait to read it. I loved Vicious.
