Just starting the decidedly non-horror Rich Man, Poor Man, but I’m planning to take breaks from that lengthy tome with Cemetery Dance Select: Simon Clark, part of CD’s series of short e-book “sampler plates” of various horror writers’ best short stories—as selected by the writers themselves.

I'm rereading Peter Straub's Shadowland. I love me a good magician story.

That CD Select e-book series has another great title I'd recommend as well, but modesty prevents me from naming its author.
I’m reading a few: skeleton crew and Carrie by Stephen king, the best of the best horror of the year edited by Ellen Datlow.

I wasn't sure about this one at first, but the narrative just flies by, and it doesn't take long to get sucked into the story.
Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman. I'm 50 pages into it and I had already many bursts of laugh. Gaiman has a nice sense of humor which I hadn't seen in Stardust for example.

A Storm of Swords: Blood and Gold by George R. R. Martin and H. P. Lovecraft's Tales of Terror by H. P. Lovecraft, both extraordinary.

Decided not to finish the book I started over a month ago (Cold Moon Over Babylon). Now I'm reading Gateways to Abomination: Collected Short Fiction which seems a lot better.

I started a re read of Miss Peregrine's home for peculiar children. So far, so good, better than I remember.

Reading 'The Turn of the Key' which is supposed to be a Haunted Smart House story. It's okay so far and Ruth Ware does a good job of building an anxious albeit human protagonist. I'm a third of the way in and I think spooky stuff is about to go down.

The Manifestations of Sherlock Holmes—fun Holmes pastiches by James Lovegrove, some of which contain horrific elements.

The best of the best horror of the year edited by Ellen datlow for a book club.https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4...

      I enjoyed

 as well!I'm starting
by Andy Davidson. I'm super excited because I loved his book

, which I read last year. It was a phenomenal piece of work and I'm hoping this one is too. I'm also still reading
by Christopher Slatsky. This collection is beyond good and today is its release day. I'm looking forward to finishing this by the end of the week, hopefully.

I’m also reading patient zero by Jonathan maberry, I really like it.https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...

I don't usually read YA, but someone told me this was good?"
I have read some of her other series but not that one. She is a good writer so hopefully you like it.
Erin wrote: "I have read some of her other series but not that one. She is a good writer so hopefully you like it."Unfortunately, I ended up dropping it. It was trying to be edgy, but in a really juvenile way. It's written for teenagers so I'm not surprised. Just not my cup of tea, I guess.

3rd? Nice! I enjoyed the 1st and about to get the second.

I finished patient zero, and started wayward, the 2nd book in the wayward pines series. I have darkly dreaming dexter on my shelf waiting to be read.
I also got the 2nd Pendergast with an audible credit this month, they were having a promotion if you used 2 credit get a $5 coupon so that was one of my selections.
