Not sure where Final Winter is going yet but the other two have been really good! I tend to stagger starting new books so one is just getting started while I've settled into the others.

i'm so excited to read this one! i had been looking for it for almost a year, but i couldn't find it around any local bookstores. one day i took a look in the freebies bin at my local used bookstore, and there it was waiting for me. clearly fate, ha ha. :)

That worked out well for you!

A slow burn but I really enjoyed it.

And I just finished The Hollow Ones by Guillermo Del Toro and Chuck Hogan which was pretty good. Personally, I'm never really been into the body-swap/possession angle, but the backstory was quite interesting and it was well-written, so I hope parts 2 & 3 build it into something special.

i'm really enjoying it so far too! it's been the perfect spooky season read. :)

This is an old favorite of mine. Hope you love it!

The third one is due out in the spring. It's up for request on NetGalley, if you use that.

I'm currently reading a mafia book A Brotherhood Betrayed: The Man Behind The Rise And Fall Of Murder Inc. as well as Ronald Kelly's The Essential Sick Stuff and I'm listening to Nemesis Games

As a lifelong Hitchcock devotee I enjoy checking out the novels on which his films were based. I generally discover that the Hitchcock version is an improvement on the book—sometimes a huge improvement, as with Strangers on a Train or Goodbye Piccadilly, Farewell Leicester Square (the basis for “Frenzy”). I’ve enjoyed what I’ve previously read of du Maurier, though, so I have high hopes for this!

Big fan of Ware, this might be her next read for me too.

This is the second book in the series that starts with The Dark Man which can be gotten for free on Kindle.
I recommend the series. It's an easy and fun read about a disgraced host of a ghost hunter show. Some intterested twists and turns, a bit of twisted humor, not hugely scary but does have some thrills.
Just be aware that all three books need to be read to get the complete story, but since the first one is free why not try it and see what you think.

Really loving this story of a young boy set on a course to discover his paranormal abilities in early twentieth century America. Lots of dark twists and turns as he discovers a secret society of...well, occultists.
