Not “horror” in a genre sense, but plenty of darkness here...
Furious Hours: Murder, Fraud, and the Last Trial of Harper Lee
I read on Sarah's Twitter that this is going to be on Netflix this summer so finally wanted to read it, I've liked her writing for years since she used to publish horror through Leisure books, so I'm excited to spend a few hours with this today :)
Behind Her Eyes by Sarah Pinborough
"In Behind Her Eyes, Sarah Pinborough has written a novel that takes the modern day love triangle and not only turns it on its head, but completely reinvents it in a way that will leave readers reeling."

I wasn't sure what to pick next after reading late into the night yesterday and being book drunk today haha so I decided to get a little head start on the June Group read :)
Vampire on the Orient Express by Shane Carrow

I’m a few stories into J.N. Williamson’s
Frights of Fancy and now starting Ramsey Campbell’s
The Hungry Moon.
I'm reading a collection of novellas by Mick Garris. To be honest, I'd never heard of him until Fangoria approached me about this book: These Evil Things We Do: The Mick Garris Collection. So far this collection is bringing the WOWS.

The Sun Down Motel"I won that book in a giveaway, I really liked it. I hope you do as well.
I just started The Animals at Lockwood Manor which I was expecting to be kinda historical fiction with a side of mystery but so far it's actually kinda creepy! The house is haunted, people are having nightmares and our MC just found what seems to be a voodoo doll under the bed. So I'm loving it so much more than expected!
Just finished Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep. So very good and similar but also different from the movie (Blade Runner) and liked them both. Very thought provoking sci fi and creepy too which is what I’m needing right now

He has a good podcast called Post Mortem in which he interviews horror filmmakers.
Lovecraft Country by Matt Ruff; half way through, literary, fascinating, funny, sad, poignant (and starting to get a little bit creepy) but feels so true and real in these times and relevant in our history of racism.

A really fine novel, and timely. Looking forward to the adaptation of it HBO starts airing in August.
