You might need to do a bit of research for this one, but read a book that takes place in the country from which your ancestors came.

For example - my family comes from Eastern Europe and Russia, and I am of Jewish heritage, so I might read The Night Journey by Kathryn Lansky, which is about a Jewish family escaping the Russian pogroms.

Karen | 76 comments I have western European ancestry and read A Brief Guide to Celtic Myths and Legends by Martyn Whittock. It was more of an overview of people, places, and themes of Celtic mythology rather than a retelling of the myths, so I will look for another book if I want to learn those ancient stories.
