A nice recommendation on the fiction side: Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency. It's not really dedicated to how math is related to art per say, but math is connected to art this story's "holistic" approach to nearly everything.
I have several unread books on my shelves from a science book club I once belonged to that are going to finally get read for this challenge. For this prompt, I am choosing Mathematics: The Science of Patterns: The Search for Order in Life, Mind and the Universe It is filled with art, music, architecture and other examples of patterns.
