Sandra Wendel | 10 comments Does anyone have a generic checklist of questions for beta readers of nonfiction? I know memoir would want different questions answered than history or true crime, but surely someone knows of a basic list. Please share. I work with my authors (I am an editor) to develop about ten questions that cannot be answered by yes or no. Thank you.

I would look at the 5 levels of editing for a structure as a guide how to comment.

Too many people look at only the plot idea, or only the SPAG and ignore the other levels that make up the entire work.
