read a book in 2 days!

I heard this would be made into a movie with Benedict Cumberbatch as the Sgt., and Ty Sheridan, who was in Mud, as one of the privates he tries to protect.It is a very short book, with descriptions that read like poetry.You get very involved with the three main characters, Murphy,Bartle, and Sterling.Sad but probably realistic. Would be interested to know what veterans think of it.
