Silver is probably one of the sweetest girls you will ever meet, but she doesn’t really give herself an opportunity to show it because she is just such a shy girl. She doesn’t trust anyone and struggles to make friends because she’s constantly afraid of what people will do if they find out. She’s known as the freak of the school, the outsider who no one wants to give any time or attention to. At first it was hard, but she has become use to shutting people out and not caring about what they say or think, even though she gets bullied as well. She does her best to fit in, but she just always stands out. Silver is a very intelligent girl, but again, no one really knows this because of her damaged personality. Silver used to be the kind of girl to stand up for anyone who needed it, but now, she doesn’t get involved in anything. She’s constantly sad, and often crying, but again, no one notices her pain because no one cares.

Silver has had a very rough life since the death of her mother. Before her death, Silver had a loving family, growing up with a mom who was always there for her and a father who was working to do the best to support them both no matter what. Life was good, until her mom was diagnosed with cancer and couldn’t handle the treatment. It made her so sick that she stopped taking it as a wish of the doctors. A few months later, she died. Silver was a mess and so was her father, he turned to substance abuse and began an alcoholic, always drinking every night, very heavily. Every time Silver would tell him to stop he’d get angry and throw the bottle at her, but it didn’t just stop there. He began more abusive every night, constantly hitting her, and beating her up. He had no issue with it whatsoever and Silver was constantly trying to defend him by saying he needed to take it out on someone. A neighbour sent in a tip to the cops soon after, but Silver lied to them because she was afraid of what her father would do. They moved to a new town and the abuse has continued since then.

Julia Horan | 1214 comments {Name}: Alec Thames

{Age}: 17
{Birthplace}: St. Albans, England
{Birthdate}: January 1

{Appearance}:
(view spoiler)
{Height}: 6’3
{Eye Color}: Green
{Distinctive Marks}: Alec has a lot of random tattoos. Most of them randomly appeared after drunken nights and adventures. He has a few scars which are reminders of when his stupidity got to be a little too extreme. As for birthmarks, he doesn’t have any obvious ones.

{Personality}:
>Happy: Alec is usually seen either smiling or laughing. He has a “too blessed to be stressed” kind of attitude. He also tends to be quite optimistic. Alec doesn’t dwell on things and therefore tends to just enjoy life to the fullest.
>Stupid, incredibly stupid: Intellectually, Alec is not intentionally stupid. But when it comes to everyday, common sense situations, Alec is almost always something that might make people question his sanity. He likes jumping off tall objects, driving fast, having one night stands, drinking too much, smoking weed, partying, sneaking into places, going to the beach, and an endless amount of things that most people would classify as “stupid”. He’s just out there having a good time.
>Nice: This comes as a shock to most people. Alec is popular because he liked by many people, not because people are scared of him and his power. But as Alec has climbed to the top of the social ladder, he’s gotten more and more involved with the wrong crowd. So in many circumstances, mostly when he’s with his friend’s, Alec is a different person. But, if you can get him alone, he genuinely is a nice guy.
>Confident: Alec is so confident, it is borderline cocky. He isn’t afraid of rejection, so he has no problem flirting with girls or even just talking to people in general. His confidence makes him quite social, and he’s willing to talk to almost anyone.
>Afraid of commitment: Alec doesn’t have one night stands because he’s a horrible guy who doesn’t value women. He just doesn’t really know what he likes so it’s hard to stick to one person. That, and Alec gets bored quickly. And most girls at their school, have pretty bland personalities. So Alec satisfies himself with meaningless sex that have no strings attached.
>Spoiled: Having a rich step dad has its perks for sure. Alec doesn’t value most of his things because he knows they are all easily replaceable. This makes him sometimes hard to relate to, even though he hasn’t always been rich.

{History}: Alec was born in England, to a fifteen year old mother, Heather, and an unidentified father. To this day, Alec doesn’t know who his biological father is and quite frankly, he doesn’t give a shit. Once Alec turned ten, he and his mother moved to America. It didn’t take long for his mother to find a wealthy, slightly older, business man who was more than willing to take on his new girlfriend and soon to be step son. Heather married the wealthy man, William, about a year after they first started dating. William ignores Alec for the most part, mostly because he is always busy with work. They don’t have a negative relationship in the slightest, William is the closest thing Alec will ever have to a dad. In fact, William is more of a parent to Alec than Heather is. Heather is a lot like her son, and is the kind of mother who will actually offer Alec alcohol and occasionally smoke a blunt with him. William has some rules, but let’s Alec do whatever the hell he wants for the most part. Heather, however, is more of a parent in the sense that she absolutely adores her son, while William accepts Alec only because he is in love with Heather.

{Random Facts}:
>Alec is very dyslexic.
>Is the proud owner of a brand new Audi S5 (view spoiler) (he crashed his Jeep Wrangler a few months prior, so William got him the Audi as a replacement and early 18th birthday present)
>Is also the proud owner of a massive, 103 pound eight month old, all black German Shepherd named Ben.
>Plays football (soccer)
>Has a slightly unhealthy obsession with Haagen-Dazs vanilla ice cream.
>Is an insomniac. Typically, Alex only sleeps 2-4 hours a night.

Alec quickly ran a towel over his hair. It was 7:47 and school started at 8:00. Most people would assume that since Alec is an insomniac and therefore doesn’t sleep for a normal amount of time, he wouldn’t have any issues with getting up early enough to get ready for school. Well, that isn’t the case. Alec woke up at 7:30 this morning, which is late even for him. He had gone to bed around 4 am, after staying up most of the night on his phone. He doesn’t even bother trying to go to sleep anymore, he just waits until his body literally passes out from exhaustion. Alec finds it to be a pretty good method.

He pulled a random black t-shirt over his head. It was somewhat of a tradition at the highschool for seniors to wear black on the first day of school. Alec pulled on khaki shorts and shoved on his shoes before rushing out the door of his room. At the bottom of the stairs was Alec’s black, mostly empty, Jansport backpack. It was senior year, which meant Alec had no intention of actually doing work this year. His school supplies consisted of one notebook, two pencils, a pen, a red crayon, an iPhone 5s charger, headphones, and three packs of gum. William was drinking coffee in the kitchen, while reading the paper. He glanced up, when he heard Alec come into the kitchen, before looking back down at the newspaper in his hand. Heather was sitting on one of the bar stools, while scrolling through some website on her Apple laptop. “You look so nice, love,” Heather grinned at her son, picking up her camera and taking a picture of him. Alec didn’t bother to smile or try to understand why his mum always took pictures when it came to things such as first day at school, last day at school, homecoming, prom, ect ect. But she has always done it and will probably continue to do it.

“Well, I’ve got to go,” Alec said. It wasn’t a lie. It was 7:52 and he was cutting his time for margin of error very close. Not to mention, he didn’t want his mother to take any more photos. “Drive safe,” Heather told him, and couldn’t help but take one more picture, as Alec reached for his keys which were on the counter. “Bye mum. Bye Will.” And less than a minute later, Alec was seated inside of his Audi, backing out of the massive, eight car garage. Everything about the house was big and probably overdone. It was a nice house, don’t get me wrong, it was just a little extravagant considering only three people lived in it. Alec wasn’t complaining though.

The senior parking lot, thankfully, has reserved spots. Alec had been one of the firsts to buy his parking pass, so he parked his lovely new car in the front of the lot, where it was quite visible for whoever was taking a look into the senior lot. Parking close was also help because it was now 7:58. It took a small jog, but Alec slipped into his Calculus class about a minute before the bell rang. He gave a triumphant smile to his friends, who were seated in the back of the room. The teacher regarded Alec with an unamused, uninterested look. She waited for him to take his seat before beginning to introduce herself. Alec had two of his best friends in the class, and then a few other people who were his friend group. After a quick look around, Alec decided this class would be amusing based on the people in it. Alec, lazily, slid into the desk behind his two buddies, which happened to be next to a blonde girl who Alec had never seen before. The classroom was set up so there were about 14 pairs of desks. The teacher then proceeded to explain how she believes in working together and helping each other out.

How inspiring.

Alec lost interest quickly, so he looked at the girl beside him. “Hi,” he said, putting his practically flat backpack up on his desk. You’ll learn quickly that Alec really can’t whisper at all. It’s quite pathetic really. “I’m Alec.” You’ll also learn, Alec is great at having conversations… with himself. Really, all you need to do is pretend like you’re listening and he will just keep talking.

~Skybabe~ Fairy Tail {Titania} ♥Teddy Bear's Bae♥ | 1345 comments ((Sorry its not that good!))

Yet another sleepless night for Silver took place. It was common for her to not get much sleep, and she was used to losing a lot of hours either crying herself to sleep or overthinking everything so much she put herself in a state where she was to terrified to close her eyes, but even she had her limits. Nothing had been the same since the death of her mother and nothing would ever be the same again, she knew that, but that didn’t make it hurt any less. At 7:00 Silver pushed herself up and out of her bed, leaving it unmade and jumping in the shower. The hot water was painful against her skin, bruises covering her all over. Where there wasn’t a bruise, you’d be sure to find a scar, but no one knew of this. She didn’t have anyone to tell, or trust for that matter. She carefully washed herself down, shampooing her hair with an apple scented bottle. It was her first day of school and she was nervous as hell.

As she got out of the shower, Silver dried and dressed herself, making sure to wear leather jeans that covered her legs completely and a long sweater that left no room for skin to be shown. If anyone saw her, it would only make her life even more of a hell then it could be right now. Not to mention she struggled to come to terms with it herself. She dried her hair, straightened it and left it out, putting on makeup. She was worried that if she didn’t wear anything, it would draw more attention to herself and she didn’t need that right now. In fact, she didn’t need that ever. Once she was done, she left the bathroom and made her way into the living room where her father was laying on the couch passed out, a bottle of vodka on the floor under where his hand was hanging down. She let out a soft sigh, at least she wouldn’t have to deal with him in the morning. She entered the kitchen, grabbing an apple to munch on while she was heading to school and checked out that everything was in her bag. She had all her stationary and her notebooks and textbooks ready for class. All she needed to do now was blend in.

Silver slipped on her shoes and headed for the door, sliding her bag on her shoulder as she did, trying to be as quiet as possible. If her dad woke up, she’d have to deal with his drunken and abusive state yet again and she just wasn’t up for that right now. The walk to school was lonely, but everything in life was lonely for her, that was just a given these days and she didn’t mind one single bit, she had just become accustomed to it. As she entered the school grounds, she noticed how busy it was, everyone within their own little friendship groups, talking about things, laughing and just enjoying life. She had never had that, well she did until it was all taken away from her by her father. She followed the map she had been given during her interview with the principal and found her locker quite easily. It was a next to a girls and another guys locker, but she simply ignored them and filled her locker up with her textbooks and thing.

She soon made it into the classroom where she was going to be in the morning, a classroom off to the right. She took a seat where she had been assigned, not wanting to talk to anyone. She opened up her things, telling the teacher that an introduction in front of the class wasn’t going to happen because attention was the last thing she wanted. As the class was about to begin, she noticed the teacher draw attention to a guy who had been running a little late. He seemed like a trouble maker. Hopefully he wouldn’t be anywhere near her, but the two guys near her seemed like they were waiting for him.

As he took a seat near her she felt her heart sink and instantly stared at the books, not wanting to engage in any conversation with him, but he clearly had other ideas. As he began to introduce himself, she felt her heart race in her chest. People never noticed her like that, the only time they did was to bully her or ask her why she was always alone and why she was such a loner in life. She bit down on her lip, looking up at him slowly. “H-hi” She stuttered, trying to find her voice. She hated being put on the spot like this. She nodded when he said his name, wondering why he was even talking to her. But she felt she shouldn’t be rude. “I-I’m Silver.” She said quietly.

((It was perfect!! Sorry if this one is crap. I'm doing it from my phone haha))

Alec isn't really used to shy people. Most of his friends are just as loud, or louder, than himself. He couldn't help but look at her when she managed to stutter out a quiet "hi". The first thing Alec noticed was that she had long blonde hair. He's always been a fan of blondes. And something about this girl... Silver, her name is Silver, was intriguing to Alec. She was uncharacteristically shy, well at least that's how Alec saw it. He's basically on the other end of the spectrum when it comes to his volume and confidence. It struck him that maybe he was making her uncomfortable or something. She is new, at least that's what Alec assumed. "So you're new here?" He asked, his voice louder than intended, which earned a few looks cast in their direction. Oops.

When Alec first moved here, back when he was ten years old, he made the mistake of talking too much. He was made fun of for "talking funny" as the other kids liked to put it. At ten years old, that had been pretty traumatic and heart breaking for little Alec. So he kind of knew what it was like to be a new kid. But when you're ten, everyone is friends with everyone. It took maybe a week, or less, for the other kids to stop making fun of how Alec said "mum" and how he leaves out the T sound when he says "water". And then life was good all over again. But this is high-school, not elementary school. Practically everyone has their set in stone friend groups, and being new makes it hard to fit into the different groups. Especially when some people have known their friends for ten plus years. Alec felt for Silver in that sense. But He just didn't seem to get that she probably just wanted to be left alone.

"I fucking hate calculus," Alec said, out loud, reaching forward to get the paperwork that the teacher was passing out. It's the same old paperwork that every teacher gives out every single year. They always give you a course overview, some classroom rules, and then they want your parents to sign it for some reason. Alec slid one of the copies over to Silver before scanning over the tiny print. Most of the letters and words just kind of jumbled to whether to the point where Alec couldn't make sense of most of it. To someone who doesn't know he has dyslexia, it is quite amusing to watch him read. Alec alway has to keep his finger on the page so he doesn't lose his spot while he concentrates pretty hard. And actually listening to him read out loud is probably one of the most painful things. You either laugh because it's slightly pathetic or you feel bad for him. Reading out loud might be one of the only things that makes Alec self conscious.

Not caring enough to try and decipher the packet at all, he just shoved the paperwork into his backpack. He would have either his mum or Will look over it later. But it was more likely that he would just forget all about it and then end up forging a signature tomorrow morning. That's a pretty frequent back up plan for Alec. It's also pretty common that Alec has someone else forge his parents signatures for him. Through past experience, Alec now knows that most girls are able to forge better than guys. It's just one of the facts of life.

After exploring the syllabus, the teacher then proceeded to get right into the curriculum. She finished the lecture a little early and allowed the class to get a head start on their homework. "Do you understand any of what she just taught?" Alec asked, glancing at Silver. He had even gone to the extent if opening up the textbook, but that didn't do much for him considering that the lesson went completely over his head. Well isn't this school year off to a great start. Alec isn't dumb, he makes dumb choices, but he isn't dumb. It just takes a lot of explaining to really get a concept to make sense. And most teachers aren't willing to go that in depth, so Alec is usually behind in a class from the moment it starts. And it doesn't help that he tunes in and out of lectures. Fingers crossed that Silver was able to comprehend it all.

~Skybabe~ Fairy Tail {Titania} ♥Teddy Bear's Bae♥ | 1345 comments ((It’s amazing! On your phone? Dayum you’re talented!))

Believe it or not, Silver use to be really confident, outgoing and actually quite popular amongst her friends and actually in the entire school. She could get along with people so easily and her beauty, well, that always gave her attention. But now…Now she was the complete opposite, her skin was destroyed, she was covered in bruises and struggled to even say hello to people. The simplest things had been proven to be difficult since everything had happened, and now even talking to Alec was a struggle, but she was doing the best that she could considering she didn’t want him to think she was some kind of freak, though he probably already did. As his load voice caught the attention of many, she blushed slightly, looking down at the desk and sinking into her seat. “Um…Y-yeah, I am” She replied quite softly.

Silver wondered how different things here were going to be. Would people just leave her alone? Or would she be able to make some friends? Well, that was a definite no. What was she thinking? If she made friends she wouldn’t be able to keep her secret and tell them and it would end up all around the school in no time. She couldn’t risk people finding out. She needed to stay away from other people. She had gotten so good at it now; there was no way she was going to screw it up now. Alec seemed like the kind of popular kid though. She was going to judge him, but he seemed like the type to never pay attention in class, never do the work, always be late and whose just after the girls. Being around him would probably bring attention to her and that’s the last thing she wanted.

At his comment of hated calculus, Silver couldn’t help but inwardly laugh to herself. She absolutely loved calculus. And she was great at it! In fact, she was always the top of everything when it came to school work, it was what she was known for. She had always been the pretty, smart, popular and friendly girl. Now she was the ugly, still smart, unpopular, quiet and shy girl. It was amazing how things could change so quickly. As he passed her a copy, she took it, giving him a quiet thank you and scanning over the page. It seemed pretty straight forward so she wasn’t worried about it. As the lesson continued on, she listened closely, remembering having learnt a few things from her old school about these kinds of things, and a few new rules and techniques that she hadn’t’ heard of yet but was getting the hang of quite easily.

She noticed how carefree Alec seemed about all of this. Yep, he was definitely the kind who didn’t give a shit about school and was all in it for the ladies, that was for sure. She took down the notes as the teacher continued on, trying to tell herself not to pay attention to him, and focus on what was in front of her. When her mind was on the school work, it wasn’t on stuff at home. As she took down notes, she absentmindedly reached up to touch her cheek, feeling the indentation. It was very thin, just a small line on her cheek from a glass cut, but she had always been self-conscious about it. The small scar was the only thing on her body that couldn’t be covered and that’s what she hated the most about it. She had gotten it from the first time her dad threw a glass bottle at her, causing it to shatter on her and pierce her skin. She shifted her hair slightly so it covered it before she continued with her work.

Once she had finished with the lesson and gave them time to start their homework, she pulled the sheets out and set them in front of her, beginning on the first question. She was going quite well with it until he spoke and threw off her train of thought. Silver looked over at him, nodding. “Y-yeah.” She murmured, shrugging her shoulders. “I don’t find calculus hard.” She murmured quietly to him. He obviously wasn’t too crash hot with it.

Julia Horan | 1214 comments Alec could be good at school if he tried, if he really really tried. He would probably have to work harder than some other students, since most things don't come naturally to him, but he could do it. But, Alec has never actually tried at working towards better grades. Alec keeps hi grades at what he considers to be an impressive, C average. It's high enough to keep him on the soccer team and keep William happy but low enough to make sure he doesn't have to work too hard. William isn't strict about many things, but there are a few things he really enforces. Grades being one of them. He's just naturally a brilliant man so he doesn't always understand where Alec goes so wrong. Well, it probably starts to go wrong in class.

The moment the teacher started to actually teach, Alec went on his phone. He scrolled through twitter, Instagram, texted a few people, he basically did everything he could to keep himself from focusing on the teacher. Alec has never really been one to take notes or even just listen. Unless it's a hands on kind if activity, or some kind of group work, he's pretty much a hopeless cause. Not many teachers are interesting enough to capture his attention and actually get him focused. This teacher was a pretty example of one. And it doesn't help that Alec hates calculus, and just math in general, so it's a long shot that he would listen to her anyway.

Alec did manage to focus on Silver, though, as she explained that she found calculus easy. He just gave a little nod, pulling out his one and only notebook along with a pencil. He didn't bring his personal textbook with him, so he just stole glances at Silver's book to write down some if the problems. He worked through about two of them before his friends finally turned around and started chatting to him. It was a pretty basic conversation. Mostly things like "what'd you do this summer?", "did you hear about Katy's party Friday?", "did you get your new car?" Just conversation starters like that. But it managed to eat up some if the remaining class time.

It didn't take long for the teacher to grow irritated from the constant chatter in the back of the classroom. It got to the point where she even threatened to move seats and make a seating chart if she had to. And, honestly, who likes seating charts. It always just makes things more awkward as you are trying to meet more people. But no one actually believed that the teacher would actually follow through with it all. In fact, Alec and his friends kept talking for another few minutes before they were silenced by the teacher once again. They decided not to push their luck on only the first day of school, so Alec's friends turned back around to face the front if the room like they were originally meant to do.

"What did you do this summer?" Alec asked, uncle to help himself from talking. The boy had to be almost constantly talking otherwise the silence makes him feel awkward. Alec assumed that she would say something about moving here over the summer. Which is a kind of sucky summer, when you think about it. Alec also moved during the summer when he came from England, and it had been the worst summer of his life. This past summer had been great for Alec. He went to loads of parties, went to the beach at least a few times a week, and he played quite a bit of soccer. What more could anyone want?

((Haha well thank you!! I've gotten used to it so it isn't too bad. Happy thanksgiving by the way!))

~Skybabe~ Fairy Tail {Titania} ♥Teddy Bear's Bae♥ | 1345 comments If there was one thing that was more important to Silver than anything it was her grades. They meant everything to her. She knew that in order to get away from her father she needed to become something that he couldn’t possibly keep up with. It would only be a year or two until she could finally leave him and get away from him. But then… if that happened she was always worried he’d find a way to track her down or something. Or she’d struggle to even get away with him to being with. Either way her grades meant everything to her and she was going to do everything she could in her power to always top the class the way that she did back at her old school. What she didn’t need was people distracting her. People like Alec.

Silver noticed how Alec went onto his phone straight away, texting, messaging and checking social network as soon as the teacher began to teach. No wonder he had no idea about what was going on, the kid didn’t even pay attention for more than 5 seconds! It annoyed her when people did that, when they didn’t pay attention and then asked for help off others. She didn’t have time for those people, she had her own things to worry about. She bit her lip gently, noticing how he also took glances at her book but she didn’t say anything and continued with the homework in hope of getting it over and done with. As the boys beside her engaged in a loud conversation she gripped her pen tightly, trying to block them out and think of other things and concentrate on her work.

It wasn’t long before they caught the attention of the teacher and she became irritated, telling them to be quiet or she’d move them and make seating charts. Silver rolled her eyes at that. In her old school they never had to do things like that. Then again, everyone at her old school as always doing work and there was never someone to disturb you. Guess things really were different, and it would take a lot to fit in. if she ever did. She had come so late in her schooling life, it’d be hard for her to slip into a friendship group. And she wasn’t good at making friends anymore either.

Silver glanced up at him from her work as she heard him speak to her, her eyes not quite meeting his as she spoke. Looking people in the eyes made her nervous, and she had always worried they’d be able to pick something up like pain or fear in her eyes. Her body ached as she shifted in her seat uncomfortably, but she told herself to ignore it. “Nothing really.” She murmured with a light shrug of her shoulders. “I moved here, that’s about it.” Whilst most people would go into detail about how they moved with their family, set everything up, go used to their home and were so excited to have a fresh start, Silver wasn’t the kind to go into detail. She had moved here with a man, she didn’t see him as her family after everything he had done to her. She had been the one to organise everything because he was too lazy and too drunk to do it, it also was not a fresh start for her. Not while he was still in her life.

((Ahaha no worries xD Happy thanksgiving to you too! :D))
