A month without reading... The first few days without the internet would hurt but I'd quickly get over that! I could never get over not having a book by my side to read.
Definitely a month without reading, for me. Five seconds in, I'd have an overwhelming desire to do nothing but READ, and I'd probably pace around for the entire month trying to think of something else to do. Internet... staying away would almost feel like a holiday. :P
I honestly can't pick. Reading is very important to me, but I love people who live on the side of the world who I can't just call because of money and timezone reasons.
Tough call... I'm going to go internet.A month away from the internet might be nice, but I do love the access to information any time I need it. I would be bored without being able to read for a whole month, but I think I could find enough hobbies to do otherwise.
I only say a month without internet because I need it for school. But I would be miserable if I could not read for a month.
I would say reading, but since this group and Goodreads, that you all would be constantly on my mind. Who would I discuss my books with? It would be a long month!

Odd... that only comes up for me if I hover over the person's name.

I think Goodreads may be having server issues, which lead to that kind of download mistakes. Member pictures are not loading for me on the website, either.
I need the Internet for work and for my business so I wouldn't be able to go a month without that. However, if we took work out of the equation I would definitely be able to handle that over not having books. It would be a challenge without this group and keeping up with my friends and family, but manageable if there is a definitive cut off date.
Like Kassandra, I need the internet for work but also for my son's school. I would love to stay one month without the internet but it's nearly impossible nowadays and it would be a problem. Well, on the internet I could read with some application or pdf files! Is this cheating?
Oh that's such a hard choice, I love that internet to catch up with friends and news, so I guess I would give up reading for a month.

Yes. ;)
Yes. ;)
A month without reading. I'd get so much more reading done if not for the internet. I'm not on Facebook and social media that much anymore but I do google a lot of things and get sucked in blogs and stuff and I'm so sure that if I had to go a month without internet I'd read at least 10+ books a month. Lol
I have taken reading hiatuses before, often when I've just finished something particularly emotional or profound and I just want my mind to digest it for a while. The main time I'd miss reading would be during bathtime and during Bedtime Story Hour when my husband and I read together at night.But... the internet is where my friends and family live. So I couldn't give that up at all.
Internet, hands down. I read on my iPad primarily, so I'd struggle getting new books, and no goodreads would be tough. Also, I am an Internet addict... It's my go to news/opinion/weather source.
It's a tough question, but a month without the Internet would be worse... I work with the net and it would mean I couldn't work for an entire month...
Easy - I already took myself off the heavy internet useage with the help of an AOD counsellor and a padded cell..... there's no way I would even consider doing that with reading!
Guilty here, but internet. I do tons on the internet - I would read a lot more if I got off it. I would hate to cut off the social internet connections, online banking and bill pay, working on my website, and moderating a forum I manage, not to mention obsess over books on this website. Now if it was a case of giving up forever, I think I'd have to drop internet if it meant even no online reading allowed. Could never give up books forever.
