This was too disturbing and grotesque for me and I couldn't continue the series. I couldn't keep watching the TV show either.

Ya know, I usually don't like disturbing stories, but I was able to distance myself on this one.

That's funny because I usually CAN distance myself from those kinds of stories but this one I couldn't!

Is your version print or audio? I can be pretty speedy with audio books, but for this 2nd Aunty Lee book, I have an actual print book. I am much slower with print books. I will probably be starting it in a day or two. I really liked her first one.

OK. I'm starting tomorrow. We can take our time.

Hey Donna, How are you doing with Aunty Lee #2? I'm loving it and am about halfway through. That is fast for me and a print book. Am definitely continuing the series.

I am about 60% through and am enjoying it. I like the Aunty Lee character--one of those cute older lady detectives that people underestimate! Hope you have a great weekend, and Happy Mother's Day! Take care!

I finished it tonight. Are you done yet? If so what did you think? I liked it and going to try to get a hold of the next book.
I am reading another international book series. Darko Dawson series takes place in Ghana. The first book is Wife of the Gods
by Kwei Quartey. It was good, but I am loving the second book in the series Children of the Street.

I liked it--I gave it four stars, like you did. Looking forward to reading the next book. Now I'm doing some comfort reading--I decided to re-read the Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I think it has been about 20 years since the last time I read it. It feels like going back to visit an old friend.

I enjoyed this book and the prior one, Next Year in Havana. I think she has another one in the series coming out soon, if it's not already out.

Oh my gosh! The Hobbit and LotR are my comfort food in book form. I just finished rereading the series, then I would watch the movie. After reading Return of the King 4 times and watching RotK many times, I still cry at the end. Enjoy your reread.

Ooh! Classical music is my jam, I definitely need to check this out!

Go wiki Nannerl Mozart. This story is slightly based on their childhood and they REALLY did make up stories about The Kingdom of Back!
