If you notice John Thornton is a man of few words but when he speaks it the rich low timber in voice as he delivers each line of dialogue. How he looks at her hands as she pours him another cup of tea and his expression as there fingers barely touch.
It is the subtly of his performance that makes Richard Armitage a compelling actor to watch on screen.

I could not agree with you more about Richard's performance. He was so low key but at the same time brooding and intense. His complete adoration for her shown threw even though he was so discreet in his interactions with her.

No worries, Danielle. I don't want to sound like I'm always singing the same tune either, but it jumps out at me because I'm so close to the subject. The horse was cute though. ;)
Add Hellboy and probably Hellboy 2 to my list. I watch Hellboy everytime it comes on tv. It gets better each time although it was a great movie the first viewing.

The music was also what drew me into the story. As she waiting to meet with him for first time you hear the music softly in background then she gets up and opens the doors and this beautiful music begins as she enters the workroom, music combined with the sounds of machinery as she slowly moves along, stops, looks up and catches her first sight of him.
Also when she is walking back out into yard she turns to see someone who later find out his mother watching her from a window. Once again the music is an important element here.

Hmm, yes. Totally agree.

Definitely. I was watching a youtube video that set the N&S music to another movie and the music struck me more than the images! It brought the movie to my mind so strongly. It was really suited to N&S and the emotion.

Brenda you impress me with your keen observation and your sensitivity. I am not just ciphering you when I say that I felt the same way about the music. I actually thought about trying to find the soundtrack.
I also think the soundtrack for Pride and Prejudice (KK) is just gorgeous. It was on last night and I love listening to that music.

I forgot the Blade movies as well. Love those and try to watch them most of the time they come on.

The Bad Boy and Lethal Weapon movies are definitely repeat offenders for me too. Something about the Blade movies, Eugenia. But then I'm such a vamp girl. I like to rewatch Fire Down Below. It's got a good romance between Seagal and Marg Helgenberg.

Danielle,
With PP it is also the realistic setting of the time period that also makes this movie one of my favorites.
I love the scene at sunrise when he ask her to marry him again and you see flashes of orange and gold light as she takes his hand and brushes her lips across his bare knuckle. Very moving scene.

Another Repeat Offender for me is Deep Blue Sea.
Oh, yes. I love those moments in P&P. I love how you could see how in love with Lizzy Darcy was, although he didn't want to be. I love the end scene where he keeps calling her Mrs. Darcy. Sigh!!!!
Another repeat offender of old: Room With a View. Very romantic movie. And A Walk in the Clouds.

Cool Idea to list TV shows, Michelle.
I'd have to put NCIS at the top of my list. I watch the same episodes over and over on USA.

Oh! I forgot some of those too. Love your list, Michelle. I'd toss up Stardust, the Bourne movies and Pride and Prejudice A&E version up there myself.
Oh, and of course NCIS. LOVE!

Stardust has two great romances. I am a big fan of Nathaniel Parker (he's dreamy) since I saw Wide Sargasso Sea. It was nice to see him in this movie. The actress who plays Una was gorgeous. I forget the name of the young man but he's yummy. Of course, Ben Barnes, who plays the father as a young man, he is delicious! Okay I am boy crazy. I admit it.

In Stardust, I was totally hot for the bad boy Septomus. Yeah young dad was tasty, and old dad was too. Paging Dr. Freud!

The Fifth Element (it's super green)
Stardust (Septomus, yes, yum!)
Wall-E (I just love him so much!)
300
Pitch Black, Riddick (the director's cut)
LOTR
Van Helsing
X-Men (any of them)
The Mummy 1 and 2 (Oded Fahr, yum)
Sleepy Hollow
Pirates of the Caribbean (any of them)
Howl's Moving Castle
The Ninth Gate
Phantom of the Opera (Gerard, yum)
Dracula (Gary Oldman)
Restoration
The Chronicles of Narnia
Labyrinth
The Company of Wolves
Legend
Interview with a Vampire
I need to stop
LOL Jenn. I can't agree with you and Danielle more! I love me some Nathanial Parker (I want to take him home). Kinda wild that his sister-in-law is Thandie Newton! I so agree about Una, she was very ethereal. And yup, that's the second time I fell for Ben Barnes (first was in Prince Caspian...I know, I'm backwards lol).
Chaeya, some more goodies! Can't believe I forgot the Mummy movies :-D And *gasp* Interview. I need to give that a rewatch tonight. No matter how many times I see that, it's always so eerie, sexy, moody, dark and just plain awesome.
Also forgot one on my list. Strange Days. I'm kicking myself cause that's one of my big favorites. Angela kicked major butt and Ralph Fiennes never looked yummier.

Chaeya thanks for the wakeup call. I totally forgot about The Mummy movies. I watch those a lot. I was thinking I can watch me some Bram Stoker's Dracula too. Haven't played that one in a while. But next month, they should start playing the good horror movies, I hope.
Oh, I'm SO looking forward to next month. I love it because of all the paranormal and (old) horror themed shows and movie marathons. Back when the Sci-Fi Channel wasn't having an identity crisis, they used to have Dracula week, Wolfman week and all those old movie marathons. Now TCM and the Travel channel is where it's at. :-D

YEAH!!! What the heck is up with the SciFi channel. When it first came out my family called it the Jen channel. Just the anticipation of it was awesome. But now, what a let down.
Hehe Jen channel. I hear that. They used to play some awesome things but since NBC/Universal bought it out and they switched so many CEOs they fear that the label of Sci-Fi is fit for only fanboys who live in their basements and are scared of girls. Way to get to consumers, SF. Imagine greater indeed. :-/

How could I like it, man? Another cartoonish depiction of the ME? LOL. "Don't shake my hand. I'll lose my fortune-telling power." And of course the princess wants to get away from her repressive culture, blahblah. Even without all the stereotypes, it was pretty cheesy. LOL.
