I absolutely agree with snape and plutarch they immediately caught my eye as perfect. I was so devastated that Philip Seymour Hoffman wouldn't be able to finish the movies.

Worst: Prof Umbridge - Imelda Staunton. Umbridge should have looked like a frilly, dressed up toad.
I like all actors in the Harry Potter movies, but I don't like how some of them are styled, neither do I like the way some of them are supposed to play their parts. That's not their fault, but that of the directors, though.
I didn't care much for the Xeno Lovegood actor in Deathly Hallows... He wasn't anything like I saw him in my mind's eye based on Rowling's description... Love Dohmnall Gleeson as Bill Weasley though

I totally agree on both! Brannagh isn't pretty enough to be Gilderoy, but he's a fantastic actor!

Yes, Michael didn't play Dumbledore the way he should be. But I wonder if that's his "fault" or the director's...

Neither did the director. No surprise, why the movies from the third on are so bad. Even though I like ALL of the actors, I think the directors were nuts.

YES! I can no longer picture anyone else as any of those characters. I love Maggie as McGonagall. And Alan Rickman is just the best, ever.
Hands down, Michael Gambon as Dumbledore. Totally butchered Dumbledore. He played him as angry, unsure, fearful. The only time Dumbledore broke a sweat in the books was when he had to drink that potion. Not even battling Voldemort phased him.
