I finished Code of Silence by Marliss Melton, SEAL Team Twelve #7.5, and it was okay. I wasn't a fan of the heroine in earlier stories and this didn't help. Here's my review.

I'm now reading The Heart of It by Molly O'Keefe. It's a short story that she included in the RAINN anthology and she plans to develop it into a series.

I'm not able to continue as an audiobook - I borrowed from Overdrive and the copy sounds TERRIBLE! It's not the narrator at all... it sounds low budget and tinny, and I'm not buying the audiobook. So, my library has the ebook and I'll start it in a few days.

I'm now listening to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling ... With Jim Dale you can't go wrong.

Did you read Blood Work (Terry McCaleb series) before he appeared in the Harry Bosch series? It seems like so many of these series tie together. I hate reading out of order and want to make sure I don't miss anything.

Robin, I've made the changes on the series list in the group series read folder.

❆ Crystal ❆ (crystal_wright) I did Robin... and it was pretty important... I think it's a definite need to read. Plus, it's a great book! If you don't read it you may never understand Terry and he's a good guy.

In addition - The Poet (Jack McEvoy, #1) by Michael Connelly needs to be read before The Narrows (Harry Bosch, #10) by Michael Connelly

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 656 comments I read the second book in the British Ruth Galloway mystery series: The Janus Stone (Ruth Galloway, #2) by Elly Griffiths .

I enjoyed reading this story, possibly not as well as the first, but that may just be related to the subject the intrepid archaeologist finds herself involved in this time. Still 4 - 4.5 stars, and I've got Book #3 on order from the library. It's great to find a series that already has eight books published from an author who's new to me :)

I agree with Crystal, reading Blood Work before A Darkness More Than Night is very important. It gives background and context about Terry.

Funnily enough I only learnt about reading The Poet before The Narrows from a friend's review. The series list on Goodreads shows the links between the Terry McCaleb series and Mickey Haller series but doesn't seem to show the link for Jack McEvoy.

I only put it together because of the Blurb for The Narrows - said that The Poet was back... and I saw the book called The Poet and thought I should read it. I'm EXTREMELY glad I did because, it not only gives insight into the Poet, but you meet an important character for the first time in that book.
