Fantastic book. Not for the faint of heart though :0)

Debbie, I loved this book. It started a little slow for me so if the same happens to you, please stick with it. The payoff is huge. FYI, it's an EXCELLENT series to listen to. If you bought the Kindle edition, Audible offers the audiobook for $3.99 right now.

I couldn't get in to Dragonfly in Amber in print form but Davina Porter may help :-)

I agree Lauren, it was really good, but definitely not for the faint of the heart! Very grotesque and horrifying! I loved it!

Hi Mary! Nice to see you here. :-)
I/m catching up on the Mia Sheridan's series
.After that, I will get to the Elder Races novellas
that were expensive on audio, but I bought them anyway because of Sophia Eastlake.

Seriously stalled on the Elder Races series. I think I'm up to the fourth book.

Hmmm! Is it that bad? I am on book 6 of the Will Trent Series and really love it and so joined a buddy read of this series! Someone else told me that they didnt care for this series as well as the Will Trent Series!
Grant County comes before Will Trent. If you're at #6, you've already read the spoilers. The timeline for GC is prior to Will Trent.

I noticed this when I read chapter one and (view spoiler) I was afraid that when I read Undone and they spoke of Grant County that I was probably reading a big spoiler! Also I know a lot about Sara! Oh well! I hate spoilers! Glad to hear that you loved both series! I think Ill wait to read the last two of the Will Trent Series after Grant County! Or does it matter? Are there any other spoilers in these two books?
Robin glad to hear that you think that both series are excellent!
At this point, it doesn't matter. I think you've already had the biggest spoiler revealed. What you'll get are the backstories, making more sense of what you now know. I still think it's worth it to read because those stories are extraordinary.
As Robin said, both series are excellent.

Mary Beth - exactly what Jonetta and Robin say. I've read both (I read them as they came out) and reading Grant County series after Will Trent is still worth it. You get to know Sara and Lena's background and history together.

The Grant County series is one I loved...up to a point. Now I won't read anything by that author again.
Debbie, this is your kind of series...really. It's a mystery/suspense with romantic elements at times. There are moments where you'll dislike every character but you get them. It can be very graphic but they're two of the most addictive series I've read. I have a hard time pacing myself (gave up with Grant County and just binged).
I finished Fatal Frenzy by Marie Force, Fatal #9, and really enjoyed the story, though a tough read at times. Here's my review.
I also finished my review of Thief of Shadows.
I'm now reading Brotherhood in Death by J.D. Robb, In Death #42!

#42 in a series blows my mind.
#42 in the In Death Series... I'm so jealous... I'm at 14. Honestly, it is such a looooonnnnnggggg series that I wasn't sure I wanted to start it. I'm thankful I did, but man... that's a lot of books.

So jealous of Brotherhood! I am waiting for my audio!

Take your time. I miss the journey through the first 35 books. It was just wonderful. There's no real payoff in catching up. My first time reading the series? I started all over again because I read them so fast:)

I promise you...once you get into the series, 42 won't be enough:)

I have to admit that I wondered how old I'll be by the time I catch up with #42, since I'm not quite finished with #1.....;)

LOL... they are fantastic. My library used to carry the audiobook version that I LOVED!!!!! But, then one day, they were all gone. I'm not sure why they lost the digital rights. I am enjoying the books don't get me wrong, but I prefer the audio.
I am for sure taking my time... not by choice, I'd gobble them up if I could, but they are popular and the wait times are long for the ebooks. I hope to read at least 2 every month.
Jonetta wrote: "I think the publisher pulled them (audios) from all the library systems."That's a shame. I enjoy them, but not enough to buy 42 audiobooks... that would be so expensive
Veronica wrote: "The Grant County series is one I loved...up to a point. Now I won't read anything by that author again."Veronica, I so get this. But I'm apparently a glutton for punishment...
I finished Indecent Proposal (Book 4 Boys of Bishop) by Molly O'Keefe. I loved it, 5 stars. What a great way to start off the month! This is the second series I have completed this year. So far I'm off to a good start for my challenge.I think I might be starting When Gods Die (Book 2 Sebastian St. Cyr) by C.S. Harris next.
