I'll be continuing this series and hopefully finishing it this year. Good to know that the last book is so good.

I thought books 3 and 4 were very good. Actually, each book in the series got better and better.

I can put it off until you are ready though, I have plenty to read, trust me.

I think I have book 4 next. I'm glad you liked this one so much. I need to add this series to my 2016 plan!

, not with Cole, but with Shannon (the heroine). I'm looking forward to book 6.
I'm not sure what I last reported, I've been so busy with the holidays and my brain is fried from all of our home projects we have going.I just finished Beyond Reach (Book 6 Grant County) by Karin Slaughter. I am left speechless. Truly speechless. I sure hope we have some Grant County characters show up with Will Trent or I will be thoroughly peeved. I need updates!
I am listening to Sweetest Scoundrel (Book 9 Maiden Lane) by Elizabeth Hoyt and enjoying the narration. For some reason I had a hard time getting into the book when I was trying the ebook, but I am loving it right now. Phew!
I started Fractured (Book 2 Will Trent) by Karin Slaughter and it's already got me pretty hooked.

My first book this year is A Game of Thrones (Book 1) by George R.R. Martin - a reread to continue the series :) As a leftover from 2015 I am still listening to The Fiery Cross by Diana Gabaldon. Both are hefty books and figured I should start with them.

Wow! You're plowing right through Karin Slaughter's backlist. Rest assured, you'll eventually get back to the Grant County characters in the Will Trent series.

Knew you'd be where you are with Beyond Reach. I just sat there for a bit.
I read the first book in Maiden Lane and have listened to the rest. I think it makes a huge (positive) difference.

I never had a hard time getting into any of the others (some of them are 5 star reads for me). But I think I was too focused on the holidays and listening to the Kate Burkholder and Grant County series. I'll definitely listen to the next ones though in the Maiden Lane series.
Robin wrote: "Wow! You're plowing right through Karin Slaughter's backlist. Rest assured, you'll eventually get back to the Grant County characters in the Will Trent series...."Good to know, Robin! I am very glad to know we get more Grant County. Or am I? Lena stresses me out!
I started listening to What Angels Fear (book 1 Sebastian St. Cyr) by C.S. Harris. I am enjoying the narration and the story. Excited for our monthly discussions to start!
I am so glad you like Slaughter's books, Monica. She has been my fav author for years. And we are both caught up on Burkholder. Now I just have to catch up Hoyt. I am planning to read two this month. Yay, regarding C.S. Harris's book!

I finished reading Indelible by Karin Slaughter, 4 ★. Here's the link to my review:https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I'm now moving on to A Perfect Evil by Alex Kava.
Monica wrote: "Good to know, Robin! I am very glad to know we get more Grant County. Or am I? Lena stresses me out"Lena only bothers me a little. I guess I've gotten used to her. The one that absolutely drives me crazy is Angie in the Will Trent books.

I think I despise Angie more than Lena and that's saying something.

Ugh, do not get me started on Angie! (insert mean face emoticon)
LOL. Just finished
Fallen by Karin Slaughter. Another winner in the Will Trent series. My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I have a dumb question, but do you all count audio books as "read "after listening? I have never done audio ever.
Jonetta wrote: "Not a dumb question. Absolutely! It's just another format...ePub, paperback, hardcover, audio."
Interesting. I may have to try it out.
Laura wrote: "Interesting. I may have to try it out..."
I've discovered I prefer listening to mystery/suspense books, especially when there's a top notch narrator. The appeal of audiobooks is in the stratosphere right now and the competition for narrators is fierce! That means they just get better and better (with the occasional rotten egg).
If you plan to start the Slaughter series, I highly recommend the audio format as they've all been excellent. Same for the Kate Burkholder series by Linda Castillo.
I download most from the library.

I will definitely try it out. It could be dangerous. Reading books, listening to books, I may not talk to my family for days. Lol.

I'm worried about her now, thinking of what I'll find when I get to her in the Will Trent series, lol. I remember Angie from the first Will Trent book and I don't like her either (after just one book). So I completely understand you both on that end.
Jonetta wrote: "Hahaha! My husband has learned how to communicate with my headphones."Haha, same here, Jonetta.
Jonetta wrote: "I'm reading...hadn't considered listening. Looking forward to your evaluation of the performance...."It's Davina Porter narrating if that helps. So it's well done. My only complaint is that her Irish accent, while very very good, for a female character comes off a little masculine. Other than that, I have zero complaints. I'm really enjoying it.

I usually don't react negatively to a character in a book, but I can't stand her.
