What series are you reading?
I finished Primal Force by D.D. Ayres, K-9 Rescue #3, and enjoyed it, despite my issues with one of the main characters. It portrays service animals excellently! Here's my preliminary review.
I'm now reading Flirting with Fate by Jerrie Alexander, a novella in a collaborative series with other authors.

I'm getting behind again in posting and writing reviews. Been a bit busy.
I finished Flirting with Fate by Jerrie Alexander, Noble Pass Affaire series, and enjoyed this short story. It's part of a collaboration by five authors who have written short stories set in Noble Pass, Colorado. There's no other connection.
I also finished reading In Bed with the Devil by Lorraine Heath, Scoundrels of St. James #1, and really liked it and the premise for the series. This is my first historical by the author set outside of America. I'm tempted to go binge on the series.
I'm now reading Destroyed by Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott, Lost in Oblivion #3.

I finished
not as good as the others in the series and
. With book 10 in this series releasing next month, I have a lot of catching up to do.
Finished up the Texas Trilogy with
Texas! Sage by Sandra Brown. Not a bad story but I couldn't stand the heroine. My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I also read
The Crush by Sandra Brown. Very good combination of romance and suspense. My rating: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I'm reading the second book in Katie Reus' DEADLY OPS NOVELS series,
. I had read the first book quite some time ago, so I'm working on this series for a couple of books from the library.
I finished
- the final book in Anne Stuart's Ice series. Definitely one of the better installments and the series ends on a high note.

I finished listening to The Martian by Andy Weir and enjoyed it very much, especially the narration. Can't wait to see the movie and here's my review.
I'm now listening to Split Second by David Baldacci, King & Maxwell #1.

I finished the second book in Katie Reus's DEADLY OPS series,
. It was a 4-star read, but the ending was really abrupt IMO. I did like the H/h.I'm about to start the third book,

and it was wonderful. I've loved this entire series although this one might just be my favorite. Reading the series has gotten me back into the contemporary romance genre, which I had gone off for quite a while.

Lauren, I'm still in surprise about you loving a contemporary romance series! It's on my shelf because of you:)
I finished reading Destroyed by Cari Quinn & Taryn Elliott, Lost in Oblivion #3, and loved it, though I took off half a star for it ending in a cliffhanger. Here's my review.
Of course, I'm now reading the next book, Consumed.

Not yet :( I've been trying to finish a few other series first but it is high on my list! If you ever want to read it together for motivation let me know :)
I just finished
third book in Deadly Ops series, and I really liked it. Now waiting for release of fourth book,
, due in November. Looks like it will be really good, too!

Jonetta wrote: "I finished listening to The Martian..."I really enjoyed the Martian. I listened to it on audiobook as well and at work. I'd start laughing to myself and all the surrounding cubicles would ask me what I'm laughing about. Probably shouldn't tell them I'm listening to audiobooks at work.
I read
Any Man of Mine by Rachel Gibson. It's the last book in her Chinooks Hockey Team series. I had a hard time with the hero being a jerk for over half the book, but by the end he went a long way toward redeeming himself. My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

This is series is seriously addictive if you like snark. I started and finished
yesterday and then got up early to start
this morning.
I just finished reading the latest Chief Inspector Gamache book, by Louise Penny:
. I'm still overwhelmed, realizing that there are some very deep subjects plumbed in these books. A rare (for me) five stars.

I'm debating reading or listening to it. I'm so glad you enjoyed it so much. Maybe I'll move it up sooner. Gibson is pretty reliable when you're in the need of a good contemporary romance.
This book isn't part of a series, but has been on my TBR for years. I just finished listening to Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta and it was such a good story. I love the author's style of writing, so beautiful and poignant. I can't believe I put it off for so long. When I first picked it up a few years ago, I got a little confused, and couldn't get into it. But I decided to give the audiobook a try since I could get it for such a screamin' deal. And once you get further in the story than the first few chapters, all becomes more clear. This is one of the best YA stories I have ever read. Also, the narration is excellent. Who doesn't like a good Aussie accent?

There is zero manufactured angst, and it is a pretty raw and gritty story. My favorite :)
Jonetta wrote: "My life library has it so I'll give it a shot! Thanks, Monica."You're welcome! Also, the audiobook is soooo good, so if you have room in your schedule to listen, that's what I'd suggest.

I may use one of my credits for that. My library doesn't have the audio version.

I am currently reading The House on Tradd Street (book 1 Tradd Street) by Karen White and I am really enjoying it. I am also listening to Fair Game (book 3 Alpha and Omega) by Patricia Briggs, and of course I'm loving it. I love pretty much whatever Briggs puts out.

Nice reads, Monica.
Nice reads, Monica.
I finished reading Consumed by Taryn Elliott, Lost in Oblivion #3.5. This was supposed to be the final story for Simon Kagan the band's lead singer but it wasn't 100% resolved by the end of the book. Loved the story but a little disappointed with the ending.
I'm now reading Wonderment in Death by J.D. Robb, In Death #41.5. It's actually the first story in an anthology as it hasn't been released separately yet, except in audiobook format.

I just finished the fourth book in the Dr. Charlotte Stone series (by Karen Robards)The Last Time I Saw Her.
I also finished the first book in Willa Cather's series O Pioneers!.
I finished reading Wonderment in Death by J.D. Robb, In Death #41.5, and enjoyed it. Too short as usual but good. Here's my review.
