What series are you reading?

I couldn't wait either. So much so that I pre-ordered it. Lol! There is no accounting for my reading whims! ;)
I might try it. I can get it at a discount from audible since I bought the kindle version. Or I could just spend one of the credits I'm apparently hoarding for the end of days or something.
I started listening beginning with The King and now love the format. Try a sample first, Erin, because some don't like the narrator.

At first, I wasn't sure how I felt about the narrator. But after an hour, I knew his style and cadence was working for me. His manner of telling the story hooks my brain and I don't get distracted.
Good luck!
Good luck!

I'm reading the next on my Rizzol & Isles list:
.This author doesn't repeat the same story over and over, so far. I'm glad I am reading these books.

I just finished
, an old book by Sandra Brown with a WTF plot. Then I moved onto
which is even worse. The "hero" is so freaking unappealing...I didn't realize this was KC's way to get into the 50 Shades hoopla.
I finished Last Chance by Christy Reece, Last Chance Rescue #6, last night and it was thrilling! Great story for McKenna and I LOVED Lucas. Review to come.
I'm now reading Worth the Fall by Claudia Connor, the McKinney Brothers #1.

Robin wrote: Today I read Under the Wire (The Bodyguards, #5) by Cindy GerardI read #3 Whisper No Lies a couple of days ago. Good to know the series stays on track.
I finished Dead Heat by Patricia Briggs and loved it. This puts me back up do with the Alpha and Omega series.I'm now starting Vision in Silver by Anne Bishop, the third book in The Others series.
Yesterday I read
See Jane Die by Erica Spindler. It was a page-turner. I thought I had the whole mystery figured out. WRONG! A twist at the end left me stunned. My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Here is my review for Last Chance by Christy Reece, Last Chance Rescue #6, and my review of The Killer Next Door by Alex Marwood.
I also finished Worth the Fall by Claudia Connor, The McKinney Brothers #1, and really liked this feel-good story. Review to come.
Lastly, I finished One to Hold by Tia Louise, One to Hold #1. Liked it, didn't love it but I plan to finish the trilogy and am now reading the next book in the series, One to Keep.

Great review, Robin. I read the 2nd book in this series before joining GR and had a problem with the characters. It could be because I read out of order (this is before my Kindle days). I'm going to try this one and see how it goes.

I just read All Lined Up by Cora Carmack and really enjoyed it. So much so that I'm doing something I rarely do and jumping right into book two, All Broke Down.
The last book in the Cut & Run series, Crash & Burn, just came out and I was going to read it but then the series would be over -- no more Ty and Zane, so I decided to start at the beginning and do a series re-read. So far I've re-read Cut & Run and Sticks & Stones and now I'm reading Fish & Chips. Jonetta - you were so right about the mystery in the first book! Ugh. It was so bad how long it took them to figure it out. I still love Ty and Zane though, so I'll just ignore the ridiculously obvious mystery it took them almost 300 pages to solve. *sigh*

Thanks for that, Liz. That encourages me to continue the series since it obviously got better.

I think so, Jonetta but I'm not as much of a mystery afficionado as you are. :) I loved the second book just as much the second time around - maybe more since there were things I noticed or appreciated more knowing how their relationship grows. Also, I think the second one worked better because it wasn't a whodunnit; it was more of a thriller. I also am appreciating Zane much more in the re-read. :)
Jonetta wrote: "Great review, Robin! I can't wait to read this." I think you'll like it. At first I thought the villain was kind of obvious. Boy was I wrong.

I'm not sure how many of the characters will carry over from the first book. It sounds like Stacy (the cop) quit her job to become a P.I. May have her with all new characters.
I finished listening to Crash & Burn (Book 3) by Lisa Gardner and am now caught up on all her series! I finished A Touch of Passion (Book 3) by Bronwen Evans and am caught up on this series too. I finished the month out with reading Indulgence in Death and Possession in Death by JD Robb.

That's the exact order I read Dead Heat and Vision in Silver, too. It felt fantastic to read two great books back to back
I finished Worth the Fall by Claudia Connor earlier and here's my review.
I also finished One to Hold by Tia Louise, One to Hold #1, and here's my review. I finished One to Keep, the second in the trilogy, and enjoyed it more than the first (review to come).
I'm now reading Force of Attraction by D.D. Ayres, K-9 Rescue #2.

I just read Jaci Burton's
, latest in her Play-by-Play series. I'm now caught up on this series. More Cassidy brothers' stories to come, and perhaps the sister's, as well...I liked the heroine and her siblings, and the hero's family, too.

This series is hit and miss for me. Every time I think of calling it quits, she writes one that I really enjoy so I keep going.

Yesterday I began listening to Written in Red by Anne Bishop. Absolutely loving it.I have never really listened to a book before, and I only thought about doing so after reading that many others like audio on GR. Finding out how poor my focus is has been an interesting experience. :)

Yay on having another audiobook convert!!!
You definitely learn after a while when you can listen and you can't. I'm one of those uber focused people that can focus a lot on what I'm doing and not pay attention to distractions but even then there are some situations where I cannot listen. :)
I've restarted
. I had to put it down for other obligations, but am pleased to be back in the Psy-changeling world. Although, it is a little difficult to pick back up because of the complicated world and all the characters!
I just finished Dead Heat and really enjoyed it. I didn't like it as much as Fair Game but I can't quite put my finger on why. I also finished Fish & Chips by Abigail Roux and Madeleine Urban and it was another I enjoyed even more the second time around. I'm really having fun with this series re-read. I think I should do it more often (with other series). I used to re-read all the time when I was a kid but I don't really anymore (probably because my never been read before tbr is so huge). Next up will be Divide & Conquer, the next up in the Cut & Run series and About That Night by Julie James, the next up in the FBI/US Attorney series.
I was hoping Dead Heat would have a bit more to do with the awesome ending of Fair Game. There was mention of it and maybe it was a set up for future installments of the series but that was one teeny disappointment for me. Still loved it though!
Erin wrote: "I was hoping Dead Heat would have a bit more to do with the awesome ending of Fair Game. It happens after Frost Burned where there is some reference to the end of Fair Game.
According to Patricia Briggs' website, this is the official timeline:

I'm actually surprised, I would have guessed that Night Broken happened before Dead Heat. Are you caught up with the Mercy Thompson series? Night Broken definitely ties directly to the end of Fair Game.

It was definitely addressed in Night Broken. I used a spoiler tag because I don't know if everyone is caught up with both series. (view spoiler).

Glad you're enjoying it. One of my favorite books of 2014.

I actually find that I am able to do other things while listening as long as they don't require to much focus - walking the dog, folding laundry, cooking, doing puzzles.

I agree. I was pretty disappointed after how much I loved the first book.
