What series are you reading?

Me too! Wouldn't I just love to get inside his head! :)
Did you read the Curran POV short story? Or maybe there's more than one, I can't recall as I didn't read them. People seem to be quite enthusiastic about them.

I'm hoping to read the most recent in that series after i finish my Eloisa James book.
I love that we are talking Kate Daniels and Alpha&Omega. Can't say enough about them and yes, I would highly recommend the Curran POVs. They will endear you to him even more!

Robin, I'm sorry that I'm only just seeing this post. Unfortunately, I found the book 1 and 1.5 very disappointing. There was something missing in those books. Still, being Nalini Singh, it is better than a lot of other books out there, but short of her normally outstanding work. However, this book was fantastic. It was fun and funny and highly entertaining.

I second and third Curran's POV. Fantastic seeing Kate through his eyes.

I read the first few Curran POV stories but I forgot to continue with them as I continued the series (I know what I'll be reading tonight..). Based on what I did read, I highly recommend them, Erin.

Thanks, Liz! I might check it out :).

I did figure out the villain in this book because of two clues early on but still enjoyed the ride as they figured it all out. This is favourite of the series so far.

There were too many possible suspects in this one!
Well, I finished
, and I think it's my favorite of the series so far. Of course, as I mentioned before, my memory is often like Swiss cheese, so at the moment I'm liking it best :)I did get the villain right, too, amazingly enough. Now on to the next and looking forward to our discussions.
I've been so absorbed in my reading I got behind in writing reviews and posting updates:)
Here are my reviews since my last post:
Biting Cold (Chicagoland Vampires #6)
Second Chance (Last Chance Rescue #5)
Fireflies and Magnolias (Dare River #3)
This Heart of Mine (Whiskey Creek #8)
Magic Rises (Kate Daniels #6)
I'm now reading Take Me Tonight by Roxanne St. Claire, Bullet Catchers #3, and listening to The Killer Next Door by Alex Marwood.

I recently finished
, a book that had the most atrocious assortment of tropes I've ever seen. WHY do authors think that adding stupid tropes that don't make sense for the characters is even a good idea is beyond me. Here's my review...https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...Just be mindful it's a long one.
This week I read
Breathless by Anne Stuart. My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Today I finished
Counterfeit Magic by Kelley Armstrong. My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

I read your review and don't think I would have made it beyond the first chapter:)

I finished Take Me Tonight by Roxanne St. Claire, Bullet Catchers #3 and it was enjoyable. Good to ressurect the series and here's my review.
I'm now reading Dead Wrong by Stacy Green.

Jonetta wrote: "I read your review and don't think I would have made it beyond the first chapter:) "LOL, the author was smart enough not to throw everything at once. At first, it was about a woman on the run and this OCD guy who was a composer. She kept adding stuff slowly until midway through the book, I was all WTH? I ended up skimming the last part just to see how it ended.
I just finished the final book in Eloisa James' Fairy Tales series, Once Upon a Tower. Truth be told, I didn't like this story very much. The dynamics between the hero/heroine quite frankly made me uncomfortable. I liked them well enough at the beginning but it started to feel almost like and emotionally abusive relationship. I tried really hard to remind myself that this takes place a long long time ago in a land far far away so my expectations of the relationship should reflect that but it just wasn't working for me. Oh well.
I'm now starting Dead Heat which will put me up to date in the Alpha and Omega series by Patricia Briggs.

I think you had the same problem with the couple's relationship as many other reviewers. I think I'll pass on this one.
I read some reviews that were positive about the book. I know some people enjoyed it so don't let me negativity discourage you. :)
Erin wrote: "I read some reviews that were positive about the book. I know some people enjoyed it so don't let me negativity discourage you. :)"Don't worry. I had already passed on buying the book, but thought I might get it if you gave a favorable review. We seem to agree on a lot of books.
Finished
the first book in Julie Ann Walker's Black Knights Inc. series. Not bad for a debut book. It suffers from some obvious problems such as weak sentence structure and unexplained jargon. The heroine is also too cute and sweet for my tastes but the hero is appealing. The plot is quite good and the secondary characters are intriguing enough for me to continue with the series.

It was the February BOM in one of my groups and it fit into a team challenge on bikers. I also got the first three books in a $1.99 sale a few months back. All of these convinced me to give it a go. I might not have if the circumstances were different.

Finished
by Christy Reece and
by Karen Rose. I am now reading
by P.J. Tracy and have almost finished listening to
by Patricia Briggs.
It seems to me that I've read this one before, but perhaps it was before I knew of goodreads site. At any rate, it's the first book in a series about a former Amish female Chief of Police who confronts a serial killer in her NE Ohio community. I've already ordered book 2 from the public library.

I finished Disney after Dark by Ridley Pearson (Kingdom Keepers #1) and Seven Wonders Journals: The Key by Peter Lerganis (Seven Wonders #3.5).
I am now reading The Curse of the King by Peter Lerganis (Seven Wonders #4) which will put me current in the series until book 5 comes out next year. Also reading Lover Revealed by J.R. Ward.

I just started a new series because you know, I can't fight the addiction. The first book is What Happens in Scotland by Jennifer McQuiston. This is a new to me author, and I can already tell I'll be binge reading this series. I love the characters and the almost unbelievable mess they've gotten themselves into. I haven't been able to put the book down since I started it a few hours ago. I see a very long night ahead of me...
And I finished it, lol. I'm not much of a binge reader (I spoke too soon earlier), but I think I see book 2 coming up very soon, if not next. I really enjoyed this book quite a bit.
Monica said: I just started a new series because you know, I can't fight the addiction. The first book is What Happens in Scotland by Jennifer McQuiston...Thanks Monica...I quite like the sound of a new historical. I have been pretty much focused on Stephanie Laurens in this genre the last few years but her books are becoming increasingly more modern as she follows the younger siblings of her original characters.

I finished Dead Wrong by Stacy Green, Delta Detectives #2, and loved it! She's created four short stories based on one of the characters in the Delta Crossroads series (Cage Foster) and if you like mysteries with procedurals, you'll love these. Here's my review.
I also finished the next book in the series, Night Terror, and it was outstanding (review to come).
I'm now reading Hideaway Cove by Anna Sullivan, Windfall Island #2, and am liking it so much more than the first.

That's what I get for "assuming"!!! I wasn't crazy about the first book (she can be overly descriptive) but this second one is really engaging. I like the storyline better and there are a lot of things in motion (I'm drawn to multiple plots that connect).

Great review, Robin! Glad you enjoyed the book. Do you plan to continue the series right away? If so, Jonetta and I have just read Biting Bad and had a good discussion in it. We would love it if you jumped in and gave your thoughts when you get to it :). I think we're planning on continuing to read through the series (correct me if I'm wrong here, Jonetta!) in case you're interested.

After finishing THE MEPHISTO CLUB, I definitely need to take a bit of a rest from the series. This was a heavy topic covered, indeed. Moving on to Last Chance Rescue for a couple of books, plus some other reading:)
