What series are you reading?

I remember getting to the end and questioning whether I'd get bored with the next two for the reasons you stated. For some reason, Ivy didn't bother me the way that Mac did. Maybe because she was a bit smarter and was already aware of her skills.
Anyway, I completely get why this didn't work for you and reviews of the book are mixed so it's certainly not just you.

I finished reading The Heist by Janet Evanovich and Lee Goldberg (Fox and O'Hare book 1) last night. This was a nice quick humorous read. If you like the Stephanie Plum series, you'll like this one. I was a little nervous about the 2 author aspect, but there is no difference in their writing styles. You don't notice it.
Starting Disney After Dark by Ridley Pearson (Kingdom Keepers book 1). It's a YA series about a group of kids stuck at Disney after closing. It's another quick read that I have been wanting to read for awhile.
Jonetta wrote: "You've got me pumped now to start this series. In time, in time... "I think you'll like these books, Jonetta. I need to go back and read Brennan's Evil series which I skipped. Some of her characters show up in previous books. I believe the hero in the "Killing Fear" is the brother of a heroine in the Evil series. And, I can see that the book I just finished (Playing Dead) has characters that show up in the next series (FBI Trilogy). It kind of reminds me of Karen Rose and how her characters show up from time to time in other books.

and ordering more of this series from library, since my Kindle charger has hidden itself from me :(No complaint about these books, though."
I love that series, Charlene. Those books are very hard to put down.

Yes, Brennan's character links are similar to Rose's. I think the best bet is to read her books in publication order.

I agree. Someone told me to do this some time ago (it may have been you), which is why I started with the Predator Trilogy.
Went back and checked and it was Kris! Three years ago when she was featured as author of the week.

I finished Anything But Mine by Taryn Elliott and really liked it. It's important to note that this trilogy is one story arc and I highly recommend they be read back-to-back. I'm starting the next one now with the hope that the final book is released next week for advance review. Anyway, here's my review. Needless to say, I'm now reading the second book, Bulletproof Weeks.
Today I finished
Deadly Obsession by Maggie Shayne. This is the last book in an excellent series. I hope the author decides to continue it.My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

I'm finding that reading any author in publication order is the safest bet now, lol.

I am reading #4 Murder List by Julie Garwood...loving it.. then I have either the paranormal Charley Davidson series by Darynda Jones to start on my Random Read challenge Geneva Lee's Royals Saga which is a contemporary romance

I need to get caught up with Thunder Point, I really enjoy this series.

I started listening to Virgin River towards the end of the series and fell in love with her narration.

I finished reading Stella Cameron's newly edited (with additional materials) mystery set in England,
.Its earlier edition was
. I liked it, thought it could also be called Romantic Suspense as much as Mystery, and it's book #1 in the series featuring Alexandra Duggins (Alex). There is a lot hinted about Alex's childhood, so I hope to get to know her character better as the series moves forward.
I have enjoyed everything by Stella Cameron that I've read; she's branched out into new territory with this English series.

I finished Bulletproof Weeks by Taryn Elliott, When You're Gone #2, and it ended with a HUGE cliffhanger. The next book isn't scheduled for release until the 27th so I've got a couple of weeks to wait. Here's my review.
I'm now reading No Chance by Christy Reece, Last Chance Rescue #4.

This is my second reading of it (read it thinking it was book one) and I enjoyed it better the second time around.

I just completed reading Sabrina Jeffries' final book in The Duke's Men series,
. I can now mark this off as a series I have completed!I did not write a review, but I did give it 4 stars. Her books are always on my auto-read lists. She gives a preview of her new series that continues with some characters we met in the Duke's Men. Looks like Yvette, Blakeborough's sister, is featured in Sinful Suitors series, coming this Summer....

And since I owned the ebooks, I got most of them at a great deal.

I did that with The Wallflowers too! For some reason I only got the first in the Hathaways though. I probably had to cut myself off at some point. Lol! Have I mentioned my audible addiction? I'll need to look into the rest of that series and maybe the Travis series too :).
I finished No Chance by Christy Reece, LCR #4, and really liked it. Gabe's story lived up to expectations. Here's my review.
I'm continuing on to the next book, Second Chance.
I'm continuing on to the next book, Second Chance.
I'm waiting to read SECOND CHANCE until our binge read, since my memory has more holes in it than Swiss cheese if I read too far in advance:(

I can see the similarities between early Mac and Ivy for sure. They both drove me nuts! Lol! (view spoiler)[I found Adrian much nicer and more willing to show emotion than our beloved Barrons. Overall I didn't enjoy the whole angels/demons premise and the biblical undertones just weren't my style either. I really disliked the whole 'you must find these 3 weapons to save the world' thing. It seemed simplistic and a tiny bit cheesy. The idea of reading each book in a trilogy where Ivy looks for a new weapon is not appealing to me but that's certainly a matter of personal taste and not at all a reflection on Frost or the writing. Finally, the ending with the 'love is all you need' tone was way too saccharine for my liking. I like my UF a lot grittier than that. Lol! In the end it just boiled down to it not being my style. I can appreciate why others enjoyed it. Adrian alone was worth it ;). (hide spoiler)]
