No pressure...yet:)

message 854: by Monica (new)

Monica | 860 comments Haha, yeah, just wait until I finish Red Rising. Then you can pressure away. This book is already giving me all the pressure I can handle, lol. It started off intense and hasn't really eased up yet.

It's true, Jonetta. One of the best reads I've had in years. So good, I'm jealous actually that you get to read it, Lieke ;)

D.G. I just finished Tempting Danger (World of the Lupi, #1) by Eileen Wilks (4-stars). Really good start of a series. :) This series didn't have too many new things but I liked the heroine (I love her Chinese ancestry) and pretty much the whole cast of characters. There was a PNR feel to the book but that was because the mating was such an important part of the book. Totally recommend it!

This series is one of the unsung wonders of PNR. I love it!

Monica | 860 comments I finished Red Rising by Pierce Brown and Truly Madly Yours by Rachel Gibson and both were great reads from their respective genres. I'm having a good start to my reading year so far. Truly Madly Yours was not as light as I was expecting (I was hoping to counteract the intensity of Red Rising), but I loved it all the same. Red Rising was a non-stop ride and I loved every cringing, wide-eyed, gasping moment of it.

Monica | 860 comments I am starting Kisscut by Karin Slaughter, it is book 2 in the Grant County series. I have been putting this one off because of its content, but I'm glad it was nominated for another group's BOM so I can move forward with this series.

I love this series. I'm hoping to read the next book in March. After that, I may have to shell out money to get the latest one. Haven't seen it at a good price yet.

I haven't read Separate Beds yet. I think I have it in my TBR pile. My favorite by LaVyrle Spencer was Morning Glory. Wonderful book. Couldn't put it down.

Robin (robinmy) | 3513 comments Today I started Dead Ever After (Sookie Stackhouse, #13) by Charlaine Harris Dead Ever After by Charlaine Harris. It's the last book in her Sookie Stackhouse series. I read the previous book just a couple of months ago. I can't believe how much I've forgotten already. I'm reading along and they'll mention things that happened in the last book. I just scratch my head. Was I sleeping during the previous book?

I love Lorraine Bracco as Angela Rizzoli! Nevertheless, she is nothing like Jane's mother in the book.

I also like Vince's character although his role is more prominent.

Erin (erin36) | 484 comments I finished In Your Dreams by Kristan Higgins and liked it. I listened to it and really enjoyed hearing Higgins' hilarious writing portrayed by a narrator. I'm loathe to say because I love Higgins so much but this book was just not on par for me with the rest of the series. I thought certain parts (like the characters pasts) were really lengthy and drawn out and it pulled me out of the romance. And ... I cannot believe I'm saying this but Jack Holland turned out to be an anti-hottie for me! He made me sooooo stinking mad that I never got over it and I was frustrated when then heroine forgave him.
