What series are you reading?
I finished listening to The Concrete Blonde by Michael Connelly, Harry Bosch #3, and loved it! I'm still wild about Harry. Here's my review. Working on the book discussion questions now.
I'm now listening to Alpha & Omega by Patricia Briggs, Alpha & Omega #.5.

Another series I'm woefully behind.

I put this one in my top three with Mercy Thompson and Kate Daniels. I loved the audiobooks ever more than the paperbacks. Sophie Eastlake narrates them all.
D.G.,Mr. Perfect was my first Linda Howard book and I got hooked immediately. Yes, I've read Open Season. The only one I didn't like was
. I found the male really unlikable!

and I liked the audio version better than the print!
I'm starting Alpha and Omega later today and I started Never Never last night. Both new series, but what can you do?

[bookcover:Nev..."Never apologize for starting something great like Alpha & Omega. Have a great read!
Sunny wrote:..."Oh Sunny, thanks for the heads up. I have that Katie Reus book on my radar...now I'll be looking for the audio.
Its funny with the Thea Harrison series. I didn't really connect with Pia at all until I listened to the audiobook. A good narrator is so powerful!
I just finished the first book in Katie Reus' Red Stone Security series,
which I'd read before (but wasn't sure; put that down to fibro fog or senior moments, either will do). I saw a really good deal on amazon to download the third box set for Kindle, took it, and then decided I want to read them in order. Not sure how many more books that adds to my TBR mountain, but I really like Romantic Suspense. If you've read these, did you like the series? If you haven't read them all, would you encourage me to read on, and would you be wanting to read them, too?
I finished Alpha & Omega by Patricia Briggs yesterday. It's just a novella, but packs a punch. I loved it and can't wait to dig more into this series.I also read Never Never by Colleen Hoover and Tarryn Fisher. I read it practically in one sitting. I could not put it down.
Jonetta wrote: "I still need to read Hoover's first series."She's good. Her YA and NA are hands down some of the best out there. I haven't read her Slammed series yet, but I have read everything else by her. She's consistently good and an automatic choice for me.

It's the Slammed series I'm referring to. I just keep seeing raves from all corners about all of her books.

After I discovered that even our state library system had no libraries with Katie Reus' Red Stone Security series, I bit the bullet and downloaded books #2 and #3, and I finished
in the wee hours. So, I guess I'm committed to this series! Only 8 more books to read, if she stops at #10....
Finished
, #4 in the Crossfire series and
, #1 in the Whale Hunter series. Now listening to
, #3 in the DOS&B series.

I haven't finished a book in more than a week. I just keep starting new ones! (I have 6 going at the same time.) But as one of my goals this year is to go with the flow, challenge-wise, I'm not worrying about it. I'll finish one when I do. ;)
Sunny wrote: "I totally agree Laura. I love Sophie Eastlake's narration. I just finished another one of her narrations yesterday, Targeted (Deadly Ops, #1) by Katie Reus and I liked the audio version better than the print! "I found this audio at my library! Thanks for mentioning it. :)
Jonetta wrote: "How'd you feel about Captivated?"Meh! Too much sex, too little story. Imho the book is almost the same as the previous one. I gave it 3 stars because I kept reading, rolling my eyes at sex scenes, hoping for the big reveal/finale but nada. To some, all the sex made it better but to me it just clutter the story.
Anyway, I don't want to spoil it (any further:)) for you or anyone else.
I got the audiobook so all that sex is going to be a big fast forward. Really thought this would be a deeper dive into their relationship and related issues.

I am listening to
(Book 8) by JR Ward and reading
(Book 3) Aleatha Romig. Romig's series is SO addicting.
I just read book one in a new series (I know, I know!) but it's a series that only has one book, so that's something, right? It's called Restless Spirits by Jordan L. Hawk. It's an m/m romance set during the Victorian period when mediums were all the rage, except in this world ghosts do exist and they can kill you. It's an enemies to lovers story which is one of my favorites. I also read Veiled by Kendra Elliot it was okay but totally skippable (IMHO :)) if you decide to read the Bone Secrets series. Now I'm listening to Fair Game by Josh Lanyon (it's a re-read) so I can get caught up on the series and read the newest book.
Change in plans...I am putting Map of Bones by James Rollins (Sigma Force book 2) aside for now so that I can read Death Masks by Jim Butcher (Dresden Files book 5). I've had my name on the ebook library site for it for over a month, so now that I have it, I better read it.
I am finally getting back to the Jane Yellowrock series. Book 7 was my "random read" for January but I haven't read book 5 yet,
so I am catching up the whole series.
Just finished Golden Son by Pierce Brown, Red Rising Trilogy #2, and I'm still reeling. Major cliffhanger.
I'm now reading One Wish by Robyn Carr, Thunder Point #7. I need something sweet to cleanse my reading palate:)

Finished the audiobook
, #3 in the DOS&B trilogy. What a great book. Also read the other 2 books in the Whale Hunter Trilogy:
#2, and
#3. This trilogy was not part of my plan but I can't resist prehistoric novels. I'm now reading
, Sirantha Jax #3.
Finally I finished
. The suspense part was not as exciting but I liked the book a lot, specially the hero, Brooks. He reminded me a lot of Tucker, another NR hero. When I was done with that, I felt like re-listening to
. He's just so freaking funny.
I finished Magic Breaks (7th book in the Kate Daniels series) and ... I have no words. It was AWESOME! Fascinating story, I could not tear my ears away ;). The ending was very interesting. I can't imagine where the next book will go with this particular turn of events. I'm not sure that I'm happy with this new direction but Ilona Andrews have earned my trust so I will just have faith in their genius!
I'm starting Holy Frigging Matrimony: A Tangled Series Short Story and Twisted both by Emma Chase on audio (books 1.5 and 2 in the Tangled series). I need to prepare myself for Drew who I've heard is a real piece of work in Twisted. Considering he wasn't a favorite of mine in the first book in the series I have little hope for his redemption in this one. Lol!
Finished Larissa Ione's Demonica/Lords of Deliverance series. According to her site, she'll be beginning a new spin-off series. Looking forward to it.
I read
The Vampire With the Dragon Tattoo by Kerrelyn Sparks. This was a so-so addition to her Love at Stake series.
