Hello. I am searching for a book that I read over 20 years ago (early to mid 90s). Not sure of author or book title. Spoilers are included in the summary.

Possible Title: A Captive's Heart or A Captive's Savage or Untamed Savage

Characters: Merriam Sutcliffe, Jordan Scott/Eyes of a Ghost, Hamilton Greer, Lake Dancer, Willow Song

The book starts with cousins Merriam and Hamilton talking about some trouble that Hamilton has gotten into. Hamilton then leaves country and the authorities come to question Merriam soon after. Merriam leaves in search of her cousin which brings her to the states. She is in need of a guide and Eyes of a Ghost, a white man living amongst the indians, is suggested. Merriam meets Eyes of a Ghost pregnant wife Lake Dancer and become fast friends. Lake Dancer help to convince Eyes of a Ghost to be Merriam's guide. The authorities is hot on Merriam's trail so she goes into hiding with the indians. Lake Dancer dies shortly after child birth but before she dies she ask Merriam to take care her family. Merriam is now with the indians and they are traveling to another site. During the journey, Lake Dancer's sister Willow Song wants to be with Eyes of a Ghost so she gives Merriam a hard time making her adjustment with the indians/Eyes of a Ghost difficult. Though he tries to resist, Eyes of a Ghost falls for Merriam. Half way through the story the baby dies and Merriam is taken by the authorities looking for her cousin, Hamilton. Eyes of a Ghost finds her and get her back. At the end of the story, a pregnant Merriam is sitting on the porch in a rocking chair when Eyes of a Ghost comes to her and tells her that he loves her and wants to be with her and the baby. He says he will return to her world if that's the only way they can be together but she chooses to stay with him.

Found searching online. The main character's name is Miri Sutcliffe and it was published in 1990.

I agree. It's this book. The h's real name is Miriam, but she goes by Miri. If I remember right, I think Miri was engaged to Hamilton.
