Well-known Aussie author, journalist, and political commentator Tony Jones has followed up his successful political thriller, The Twentieth Man, with more war and intrigue in In Darkness Visible.

Nine Perfect Strangers by Liane Moriarty

I loved the second book of his Joe O'Loughlin series, Lost, aka The Drowning Man. Good pace, good plot, characters I cared about, plus the author is an award-winning Aussie!
What more could I ask?

The Roo by Alan Baxter

I do enjoy Aussie Emma Viskic's deaf detective, Caleb Zelic, his deaf community, his Aboriginal extended family, and the harrowing escapades he gets caught up in in spite of his best intentions.
Darkness for Light is the third in the series.

It was! I knew the twist, so was on the look out to see if you could pick it before it happened and couldn't!

It was a fun read with lots of local flavour. 4 out of 5 review here

The Good Turn by Aussie/Irish author Dervla McTiernan is her best one yet! Irish detective Cormac Reilly is trying to fight crime and his superiors (I use the term loosely) at the same time.

My first Historical Fiction read by an Aussie author this year was Sulari Gentill's latest book. I'm now a new fan :D
I'll be looking out for that one thanks Patty

If you can read the rest from the beginning you'll get a bigger benefit Kim :)
