My first 2020 read for the challenge was terrific! The Good Turn by Aussie/Irish author Dervla McTiernan is her best one yet! Irish detective Cormac Reilly is trying to fight crime and his superiors (I use the term loosely) at the same time.

One of my favourite female authors is Sulari Gentill who writes the delightful Rowland Sinclair historical mystery series. Paving the New Road, about the frightening rise of Hitler in Germany in the 1930s, is terrific.
