December 2014 Group Read: Clickers by J.F. Gonzalez
Thanks, Charlene! I'm pleased that Jonathan and Mehmet got the buddy read ongoing, as I had not read any of the series.
I wasn't able to join in on that read, but I am hoping to join in this one in another week or so. :)

Without spoiling, I can say that I was very pleasantly surprised and delighted with Clickers, much more to the book than I expected.

I'll be here. :)
I bought mine on Kindle at the beginning of November for the buddy read; I'm going to reread it for this group read.
I'm finally going to start this today - my reading time has been severely limited of late due to the general craziness of my life on top of the usual holiday madness. :-)I read it so long ago (I proofed the Darktales paperback) it'll be like reading it for the first time, given my awful long-term memory...
How are you guys doing in here?I was thinking of joining in this read today. If you're not quite going yet, I can read something else and come back here after that?
What say you?

I'm still cruising along at 45%. It is very good. Like reading a Hitchcock film.
Roy is a pleasantly surprisingly well fleshed out villain. I was expecting cardboard characters in a story like this.
I read CLICKERS in November, am going to 're-skim, then read II and beyond, so I'll still be here.:)

I started today, I'm about 20% in. Loving it. Just like one of those old creature features!
I got a really good jump on it last night, because I ended up waiting for my daughter much longer than expected. About 100 pages into the hardback. As I expected, I really don't remember much, but I'm loving it so far! I'm glad I decided to read the hardback, because I hadn't noticed before that they included "deleted scenes" at the end, which I'm looking forward to reading. It definitely has a very "B Movie" feel, which according to the foreward is exactly what they were going for. I just hope I can carve out the reading time to keep the momentum going.
Hey, leave her alone! Anyway, she'll be done with the book by tonight. Trust me on this. :)I'm at about 20% and enjoying myself, so far. :)

Good point. She's probably finishing up her review as we speak. I'm still around halfway so I should get motivated.

I'm liking it. Great monsters and a comic book store.
At the risk of being hyperbolic, :D, Horrorstör is fantastic!! I read it as an ARC, so didn't get the benefit of the illustrations; wanting to buy a Kindle copy for that reason.
Glad to hear it! One of our participants has been having issues. I had some issues lately with the app, but not in the last week or so, but I thought I would just double check with you all.
Yeah, so I finished this last night. I have to admit, I was impressed! Spoiler for the end! (view spoiler) I hope everyone likes it as much as I did.
