I have tried to figure out where to go to ask questions. I am very new to this online book reading stuff. Can someone tell me what "Small Press Books" is in the December book of the month nominations means? I need a Goodreads for Dummies book! Thanks

A "Small Press" book is one that is published by smaller printing presses or ones that print self-published authors. Someone else might have a good example of one.

Hi Barbara,
I tend to agree with Theresa's reply. "Small Press" is smaller publishers or independent published authors. We used to offer "Big press" (meaning Random House, HarperCollins, Penguin Group, and so on) for book of the month nominations but it seemed like most people weren't responding with big press book so we changed the format. If you still have questions feel free to send Vicious a direct message. He is the moderator in charge of that section.
Perhaps we need to add a section for general questions.
Warmly,
Lisa
