The nominations thread for the 1st Quarter 2020 Non-Fiction Read is now open, please suggest your book choices below.

Please remember that:
1. We do not allow self-promotion or self-published books.
2. All books need to be seconded by someone else in order to get to the voting stage and
3. Nominations must be readily available in as many formats as possible at a reasonable price.

This thread will remain open until the 16th December and then will be closed for voting. The joint runners up from last time go through automatically, so do not need to be nominated or seconded.

There are no categories, so feel free to nominate whatever you want. Either nominate or second a book, not both.

Nominated:
Hiroshima Diary: The Journal of a Japanese Physician, August 6-September 30, 1945

Nominated and Seconded:
The Prison Book Club
The Book of Forgotten Authors
Spark: The Revolutionary New Science of Exercise and the Brain
Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking
The January Man: A Year of Walking Britain

Pat Morris-jones | 1373 comments I will second the book of forgotten authors. The January man is wonderful, but I have read it. The forgotten authors book sounds interesting.

Excellent, Lisa. Will second, Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking as I think that this is a book that more people need to read.
