I'm seeing a lot of Badge 3 books. While it is permissible to read books out of order, you cannot earn badge 3 without earning badge 2 first. I just thought I would clarify that in case you were thinking you could focus on badge 3.

I have been reading books for another challenge and trying to make them fit in this one too and that is just how it has been working out.. for instance I had to read a book with a gate on the cover for the other challenge,, so I found The last book which worked here also. When that challenge is over I will focus more on badge 2

It was written in the 1950's but I think it holds up pretty good. I gave it 3.75 stars (round up to 4) I will defiantly be thinking about the characters fir a long while. I am a genealogist and I love reading about how my ancestors lived and that maybe part of the reason I liked it. being said, I also love the trope of people changing their whole lives and Kit Does that she leaves Barbados where she was use to doing what she wanted and had money (more than 2 dresses..lol) and moved in with Puritan relatives,, so interesting.. The trial was pretty good too....
