page count in reader disagrees with edition

I cannot accurately track reading progress for this book because the official page count for the edition I am reading (according to the author's own web page) is 316, but it appears to have 477 pages in my reading application. I can't add a 477 page edition, because the ISBN is already assigned to the 316 page edition. I realize this is probably an issue with the reader, but I suspect it's a fairly common one and the publishers of both ebooks and reader software should probably be made aware so they can figure out a fix.

Kindle edition page numbers are listed according to Amazon, since ereaders vary. 316 is correct for this book.
If there was a different edition you are reading, just post the ISBN or ASIN.
One option is to track this particular book by percentage, as we can't edit this edition's page number.
