Lauren (celticdescendant) | 11 comments I'm looking directly at the paperback book Whereas, published in 2017 by Graywolf Press (ISBN 978-1-55597-767-2). The last numbered page is 101. There are acknowledgments and notes after page 101, but they are not numbered in the book itself.

Thank you!

Emily | 17491 comments We do count the acknowledgments and notes, even if unnumbered. We don't count ads, lists of other book titles to buy, or previews for other books.
Would 110 be correct in that case?

Lauren (celticdescendant) | 11 comments Yes. In that case, 110 is sort of correct? There are 3 blank pages between 101 and the very last page of 110 (which does have text).

Additionally, I tried reading up on how Goodreads makes page number decisions. I found the link below. Perhaps making the text a little stronger would be helpful?

"This field is for entering the number of pages of a book. The number of pages in a book is meant to include all content except for advertisements and preview chapters for other books. Included end material may include acknowledgments, afterwords, appendices, bibliographies, glossaries, indexes, notes, and suggested discussion questions." Adding something like "even if the pages are not paginated" could be included in the last sentence as I took that paragraph to mean "only if the page numbers are included in the book is the end material also included."

Emily | 17491 comments So 107? If there is a completely blank page we don't count it.

That's a good idea, if you would like to submit it for consideration you can email Support:

(you have to recopy and paste the link, because it doesn't copy correctly from this page)

Lauren (celticdescendant) | 11 comments Yes. 107 is then the total as there are 3 completely blank pages.

Thanks! I'll send in a quick email about it :)
