Home for the Holidays

  Muse A and Muse B are college dorm neighbors. Muse A is on the wreckless side, always throwing parties on the dorm floor, stumbling in intoxicated at wee hours in the morning, or even just bringing whatever girl he has his eye on that week back to his room.
  Muse B is more uptight, focusing on grades rather than fun. Inevitably, the two clash and maintain a strong dislike for eachother.
  As the holiday season draws closer, complications arise. Muse A's worst obsticle is his conservative parents who have been nagging him to leave his partying days behind. Muse B's biggest obsticle is school, specifically advanced college algebra.
  One night while on the phone with his mother, Muse A gets fed up with her nagging and announces that he has infact mellowed out, and will even be bringing a nice girl home for Christmas.
   He figures that he is doomed, that he'd end up having to admit his lie. But thin dorm room walls do sometimes have their advantages.
   Once he learns that Muse B is struggling with math, he comes up with a plan. Since math happens to be one of his strong suits, he decides to offer to help her in exchange for one thing: she must come home with him for Christmas.

So, anyone? All I ask is that you are fairly active and write more than one sentence per post. I would prefer to have Muse B in this one but  might be persuaded otherwise if it's a deal breaker.

hello. new to this group, but it has been a while since i have role played and am absolutely inspired to play a plot found on tumblr.

i am a 20 y/o woman and prefer to write with people who are 18+, i have written with minors in the past and while the experiences have been memorable i am simply not comfortable with it any more. i am looking for someone rather serious about keeping a long thread going and is capable of writing para, and feels no time restriction. i hold a full-time evening job so please be patient with me. i do not smut. please do not push this. --

(muse a) is a ballerina at a private dance studio who has gained the attention of (muse b), their dance instructor. (muse b) sees something special in (muse a) —a rare potential for greatness— and therefore devotes extra time to teaching (muse a) technique. as (muse a) and (muse b) spend more time together alone in the studio, the line between professional and romantic is crossed. though they are both consenting, one or both of them is in a committed relationship with someone else (and it’s highly frowned upon for them to be together).

Muse A has known for some time they would marry. Marriage was how one kept the line going, territories strong. The person of Muse A’s parents choosing is said to be strong and valiant. An excellent match. But aren’t they all?

Their finance is not as thrilled with their matching. So it falls on Muse B, their brother/sister, to guard and keep them company in their sibling’s stead.

In the year that Muse A stays in their finance’s home, intended for Muse A to get to know the ways and customs of their new land and for matched couples to grow closer, it is Muse B that A becomes closer too. Having fallen in love with the wrong brother/sister how will Muse A contend with these feelings when the love of their life is to be their in-law and not husband/wife?

A Parent Trap
Unable to afford a plane ticket home this year, Muse A resigns to grabbing a TV dinner for one at the local supermarket and flying solo. They don’t expect to bump into their ex’s (Muse B) parents in the frozen food section nor do they expect to receive an invitation to spend the holidays at their cabin in the mountains. Muse A honestly doesn’t think it’s a good idea to accept, but when Muse B’s parents insist that Muse B will be happy to see them, Muse A agrees to join. Muse A packs a bag and drives up the cabin the following afternoon, hopeful for a pleasant reunion with Muse B, whom they still have feelings for. Only when Muse B answers the door in stunned silence, it’s immediately clear that Muse A is the last person they expected to see on this family vacation. It doesn’t take long for Muse A and Muse B to realize that Muse B’s parents are scheming to get them back together. But will the parents’ efforts—paired with a romantic atmosphere and plenty of opportunities for cozying up by the fire—do the trick? (hide spoiler)]

Power Couple
Muse A and Muse B are two halves of an A-list celebrity couple. Together, they have millions of adoring fans and millions of dollars to spend on whatever they could possibly desire. Despite the occasional tabloid article, Muse A and Muse B seem to be living a Hollywood love story, complete with cozy rendezvous in VIP sections of the hottest nightclubs, romantic dinners at the chef’s table in the trendiest restaurants, and affectionate touches on the red carpet at public appearances. Being as famous as they are, Muse A and Muse B are mobbed by paparazzi everywhere they go. Outside of their glamorous, gated home, the star couple can’t get a moment of privacy. But that’s perfectly alright with them because the truth is that Muse A and Muse B are together strictly for publicity. Catching Love
A female is raised in a family of proud thieves. On her first job to she tries to steal a famous diamond but fails when a young police officer catches her in the act. He doesn't see her face but follows after her as she runs from him. She manages to escape from him however the next day she runs into him at a cafe, he doesn't recognize her from last night. She decides that it will be a good idea to befriend him to see where they are at in her case. She soon finds out that he is from a rich family and she also plans to steal from his family. They soon start to fall for each other but he doesn't know that the thief he is trying to catch is his girlfriend. (hide spoiler)]

Joy Ride
Muse A has been sheltered for most of their upbringing, coddled by loving but overprotective parents well into their teenage years. They’ve yet to experience most of the milestones that their same-age peers take for granted, like attending a school dance or getting their driver’s license. The only time that Muse A isn’t under the watchful eye of their parents is when they’re at school and even then, they’re under strict orders to come straight home once that dismissal bell rings. Muse B hasn’t resided with a parent/guardian since they were legally able to live on their own. They didn’t come from a nurturing environment, not even close, but they’re not looking for a pity party about it. Muse B fends for themselves in this world and they’ve earned a bit of a reputation for snubbing their nose at authority at every opportunity.
Muse A encounters Muse B one afternoon as they’re making their way to the bus. Muse A can’t help but stare with envy as Muse B mounts their motorcycle—able to ride off whenever and wherever they please. Muse B catches Muse A staring and they offer Muse A a ride. Muse A accepts, hastily snatching up their first little taste of freedom. (hide spoiler)]

Coffee and Comfort
Muse A is a college student, reeling from a bad breakup/stressing over midterms/(etc.). Drowning their sorrows/worries at the campus coffee shop one night, Muse A encounters their professor, Muse B. Muse B is looking for an outlet to plug in their laptop and Muse A offers the one beside their table. Muse B joins Muse A for a coffee and they exchange small talk as Muse B grades coursework. As the evening progresses, the conversation continues and by the time the cafe is ready for closing, the pair is left with a desire to keep the conversation going. Feeling it inappropriate to “hang out” together off-campus, Muse A and Muse B make unofficial plans to continue their chat at the cafe the following night. Muse A and Muse B have such deep/meaningful/enjoyable conversations that they resolve to start meeting each other to talk once a week. (hide spoiler)]

The Neighbor
The first night after Muse A moves into her new apartment, she realizes she can hear her new neighbor's nocturnal activities. Thanks to paper-thin walls and the guy's athletic prowess, she can hear not just his bed banging against the wall but the ecstatic response of what seems (as loud night after loud night goes by) like an endless parade of women. And since Muse A is currently on a self-imposed break from dating, and her neighbor is clearly lethally attractive to women, she finds her fantasies keep her awake even longer than the noise. So, when the wallbanging threatens to literally bounce her out of bed, Muse A, clad in sexual frustration and a pink baby-doll nightie, confronts Muse B, her heard-but-never-seen neighbor. The tension between them is as thick as the walls are thin, and the results just as mixed. Suddenly, Muse A is finding she may have discovered a whole new definition of neighborly...

Muse A lives in an abusive environment. For years, Muse A has kept what goes on behind closed doors a secret, for fear of what their abuser might do if anyone found out. One night, the chaos and the fear become too much to bear alone any more. When there’s an opportunity, Muse A escapes with no plan of returning. Muse A runs straight to Muse B (their best friend) and confesses everything that’s been taking place, begging to stay with them until they can figure out what to do next. Between the Sheets
Muse A and Muse B are roommates. After a long night of partying, they stumble back into their apartment/dorm and fall into bed. Too inebriated to notice or care, they curl up in Muse A’s bed together. Muse A snuggles into Muse B’s chest, Muse B slides their hand beneath Muse A’s shirt. Morning comes and the roommates wake up, half-dressed, in each other’s arms, with no clear recollection of what happened once they got home the night before. All of the unanswered questions stir some curiosities between the roommates.
What will happen if the roommates are able to piece the events of the previous night together? How will it change their relationship if they were intimate with one another? If they weren’t intimate, will they become curious about what being lovers would be like? Will the awkwardness of the situation be too much for either of them to handle? (hide spoiler)]

Before the Darkness had come, the Kingdom of Evedale was home to many magical creatures: witches, fairies, dwarves, and countless others. But one creature ruled over all, human and mythical... The Fae. They were strong & graceful warriors, bred for battle. They brought peace to the kingdom, bringing it together through their gifts of magic - something so rare and sacred that only those with powers were allowed to rule. The immortal creatures kept to their land, never pressing the borders, caring only for their kingdom. They were quick to smother rebellions, invasions - anything that could destroy their kingdom...

Until the Darkness came.

It came with no warning, and seemed to come from nowhere and everywhere. There was nothing anyone -not even the Fae- could do except watch as their beautiful lands were covered in Darkness. It lingered there for days, and no one could escape the things that came with it. Dark, merciless creatures with no true form swarmed the lands, cutting down everything in their path.

When the Darkness left, the survivors found that most of the magical creatures had simply... disappeared. There was no sign of where they had gone, and the kingdom soon learned that the Fae had disappeared as well. Without their magic to keep the kingdom together, Evedale quickly descended into chaos, people and creatures fighting for the crown.

A ruthless, cruel man, hellbent on ruling, finally managed to take over the kingdom, and with him on the throne the lands quickly became dangerous place for humans and creatures alike.

Although people believe the Fae to be gone, a few still remain, wondering what happened to their kin...

One Fae, gifted with a very rare sort of power, roams through the streets of the capital, a deadly force to be reckoned with...

Another Fae, living on the outskirts of the terrible lands -with a dark secret- readies themselves for the day that the kingdom of Evedale will once again be ruled by the Fae...

When the two powerful Fae meet up, no one knows what will happen. It could end up being the most powerful partnership ever... or start the bloodiest time in the history of the Kingdom.

Now stuck there, with no way back home, the girl must join forces with the boy and his group of close friends to find a way back to Earth. It will be no easy task. They must find a way past the forces of the powerful queen who rules over the magical land, for the only portal back to Earth is located in the center of the castle. And to get there they must defeat many powerful foes bent on using the girl for dark and mysterious reasons. As the story unfolds, it appears that the two are somehow connected to a powerful prophecy made many centuries ago, and as they get closer to the portal, they become less sure of what it is they're really fighting for.

In a kingdom ruled by the fair and rich, it is to be expected that there is a dark secret hidden in its history.

While the noble live in their castles and estates in the Kingdom of Silvatica, unrest grows among the commoners. A darkness has settled over the forgotten people, and it is not long before people start to disappear. A rebellion has emerged in the shadow of this mystery, and it promises a new world for the commoners.

Up in the world of the nobles, a newcomer has brought forth trouble and mayhem for the select few lucky enough to meet him. Muse A is a boy from another kingdom, visiting for his 18th birthday with hopes of a marriage from his parents to the Crown Princess of Silvatica. However, Muse A has different plans, and has taken to roaming the streets of the kingdom and causing trouble in the halls of the castle.

Muse B is a girl living in the shadows of the castle, doing her best to survive. Often ridiculed for the lack of fair skin and light hair common in the kingdom, Muse B must resort to... uncommon ways of finding shelter and food. As the darkness continues to descend on the kingdom, and the nobles continue to ignore it, Muse B finds herself drawn in by the growing rebellion with promises of shelter, food and a purpose.

As Silvatica's secrets start to appear, the kingdom may not survive as its past comes back to haunt the people. In an encounter both would hope to forget, Muse A and Muse B may have to come together and find a way to help the kingdom they both despise before it's too late.
