Sharon | 5 comments I'm reading the book In The Name Of Identity by Amin Maalouf and wanted to add a quote from it to GoodReads. When I tried though it didn't include that book in the list of titles of things he'd written. So I then went to the author page for Amin Maalouf and looked at all the books it lists as being his and it's not listed there either. But if I go to the page for the book In The Name Of Identity it shows him as the author.

And there are other quotes for him, listing his name and that book.

So, is there something that can be done so that this book is listed on his profile and so I can add a quote and attribute it to the right book it came from?

Thanks.

I don't know why the quote isn't working, but for issues of site functionality you'll have to go to the Help section or contact support.

Scott, when I tried to ask for help in the Help section they directed me here. When I try to contact support I get a message that says that I am not allowed to.

Andrew, I'm guessing that you don't know the answer, but I'll ask anyway. Why can't I choose the English version for that book? I can see that in the past that others did so, but I can't.

It would make sense for people to be able to share quotes that correspond to specific translations of that book. English quotes for the English translation of the book, Arabic quotes for the Arabic translation of that book, Korean quotes for the Korean translation of the book, etc.

(As an aside, the book was first published in French, not Arabic, so I also don't get why the default title is Arabic. I'd think that the default title would be in the language it was first published in.)
