"Alex? Vee?" Andre called impatiently, dumping his surfboard in the sand. "Are you coming? I wanna surf."
"Patience, Young Jedi," Alex called back, rolling his eyes at Vee. "Kids..." Then he adopted a more serious expression. "But yes. College is scary. My mom would probably be happier if I stayed close to home, you know? But I'd rather find my feet somewhere else. If I get an opportunity to go somewhere else, I think I'll take it. But...let's just say it's a touchy topic in my house. You have any ideas about college, princesa? "

Vee glanced at Andrew he called them. "Were coming" she tells him and picks up her pace. Vee never really liked moving quickly on the sand. Running was always difficult. Plus she enjoyed the softness of the sand with every step she took.
Think about what he told her, Vee said. "That the thing... I'm really not sure. I mean going somewhere else would be pretty cool. I did always want to go to France or Germany. If your a citizen they pay for your college!" She tells him, loving that idea. "I think.." She also adds "but still i don't think i can leave this place... Its where i grew up and met Danny and you. What if Danny gets a college here and i don't" she adds. She didn't think Danny would be staying in England for college.

"Yeah," Alex agreed, his smile slightly forced as he struggled to cover up for his hesitation. "It would be hard to move away from all this. Abroad sounds cool. I've always wanted to go to the U.K..." He paused, thinking about the distance between here and his best friend. "My dad went to Oxford, which sounds amazing. Yes," he said, holding his hands out in surrender. "Yes, my family history is very complicated. My dad is British, but he moved here after he graduated, and my Mom's American with a little dash of Spanish..." he laughed. "But enough about that. What do you want to study?"

She softly laughs at his confession. "Its not your fault its your parents" she playfully tells him. "So you half British?" She asks smiling "i always had a thing for European guys" she admits. Its always been like that since she was ten. She remembers so tiring with her friends durning sleep overs and talking about guys.
Vee froze when he asked her about what study she was planing on doing. All she could do was shrug. She really didn't know what to do.

"That's good," he smiled, striking a ridiculous pose. "How could you not? We're just so damn hot..." he joked, before dropping the act. "Yeah. I'm half British. But, I don't know. This'll always be home for me, I guess. There are some things you just can't change. This is one of them." He smiled. "As much of a dump as this place can seem sometimes, I love it here..." He smiled, gazing at the sea, before his eyes clouded and he turned back to Vee, serious. "Not that I wouldn't give anything to get out of here. Home is home, and I'll always love it, but... I'll be out of here as soon as I graduate. Even if I don't go to college right away, I think I'd like to see something different for a while, Vee. You know what I mean? And then maybe after that, I'll realise how amazing home really is and then I'll come home and go to college here and my mommy will be happy and it'll all have a happy ending..." Alex spoke almost bitterly.

"Yah i would like that too" she admits. She always felt trapped in this city. She did love it. All her memories were made here and she grew up her whole life here. Plus she found someone she really loves. "I always wanted to explore the world" she tells him. "I don't know... It seems impossible with me" she says sadly. She knew that would need a lot of money and time. "I don't know if i could do that after graduation. But your lucky if your going to"
They finally reached their spot at the beach where Andrew was waiting for his surfboard and Belle was already running back and for from the shore with her bucket filled with water, pouring it onto the sand to get it ready for shaping before running back.

Alex smiled. "Patience, kid. I haven't even put my stuff down yet..." he dumped the bag on the floor, before rooting through it and finding the large towel that he had brought with him. "Here, pincesa," he said, gesturing for Vee to sit down. "I'll take the chimp over here for a quick surf, I'll be back before too long. Is that okay?"
He didn't really want to leave Vee, but he had no choice. They only had two surfboards, and Belle was probably to little to go out that far, anyway. Speaking of...
He glanced around anxiously to make sure Belle hadn't run off somewhere. He didn't want to lose Vee's little sister. That would be a day ruiner.
But there she was. "Belle," Alex smiled, reaching over to ruffle her hair. "Not too deep, okay? Unless one of us is with you."

Vee set her things down along with else. She softly laughed at the little kid. He was so eager to go and surf with Alex. She wished she was like him when she wanted something. But thats what teenage years does to you, you become old.
Vee was going to tell him that she didn't need his blanket and that she ha her own but he was off already with his brother. She smiles shaking her head before glancing at her sister to make sure she was all good. She takes her own towel out and lays it down on the sand. She then takes off her scarf skirt before laying down under the sun and closing her yes to relax.
Vee could hear the water moving and splashing around. The sound of kids laughing and having fun filled the air. Seagulls made their noises in the air as they fly pass. Everyone was in a happy mood. Vee checked on her sister, raising her head to see where she was. She found her near here in the sand already starting with her masterpiece. Vee lowers her head and starts to think about what has happened lately.

"Yeah, Barnacle Brain," Andre laughed, showing up just next to him. "What, you want me to hold your hand?"
Alex laughed, shoving him with one hand, not hard enough to knock him off his board but just enough to tip him off balance, sending him spiralling away from Alex. Alex smiled, picking up speed as his brother struggled to keep up on his new, slightly-too-big board.
"Sayonara, Sucker," Alex laughed.
But Andre wasn't done yet. Just about catching up with his older brother, he gave Alex a big, two-handed push, catching by surprise and knocking him into the water. Unfortunately, Andre was off balance, too, crashing into the sea after his brother.
"Idiot," Alex gasped coming up sputtering. "Good thing I didn't lose my board, genius."

"Belle?" She calls out her eyes still closed just to make sure she was ok. "Here" she tells her.

"That was amazing..." Alex laughed. "That wave. And when you fell..." He did a wild imitation of Andre's fall, and they both burst out laughing again. After a moment, Alex pushed his dripping wet hair out of his eyes and smiled at Vee, squinting in the sunlight. "Hey, sunshine," he smiled, his brain belatedly registering the fact that she was lying in front of him in a black bikini that made her look more amazing than ever. Heck, she was more radiant than the late afternoon sun. "You want an ice cream?"

"Hey water boy" vee says in response to him then opens her eyes and turned on her side to face them all. She holds her head up with her hand and looks over to make sure belle was still with them. Her little sister was lost in the sand castle, still getting the the out line of everything before she gets detailed.
Her eyes slightly widen as he asked about ice cream. She remembers promising all of them that ice cream was on her. "Now?" She asks. "Its still a long day" she tries to stall hoping by the time they get it later they would forget.

Andre nodded enthusiastically, lifting his hand to shield his eyes from the sun. "You going to buy Carlene one too, Alex?"
Alex frowned. "Okay then. If that's the way you want it. Ice cream on me for everyone except you."
Andre laughed, tackling Alex playfully, latching onto his back and holding on while Alex toppled over. They wrestled in the sand for a couple minutes, before Andre ended up on top, Alex laying in the sand, his light brown hair blending in with the damp sand. Groping along the floor, Alex found something big, heavy and plastic. A bucket. Full of water. With a smile, Alex dumped it all over his little brother.
Gasping, Andre retreated, Alex laughing the whole time. "Sorry, Belle," he said, standing up and sprinting back to the sea. He returned a moment later with a full bucket of water, which he presented to the little girl, smiling. "You want an ice cream, Belle-erina?"

Belle laughs at her new name. "Yes i want ice cream" she tells him and pours the water Alex got her after using hers but leaving half the bucket. "I don't care who get me it" she adds looking at them then to her castle.
"Don't worry ice cream is on me" she tells everyone and grabs her bag. "After all Its what i said in the car" she stands up and slips on her flip flops. "Now c'mon"
Belle jumps up and grabs her own flips flops them goes to stand next to her sister.
"But will someone take our place?" Vee asks Alex and lowers her sunglasses to block the sun.

After a moment of silence, Andre groaned. "You mean I have to stay here?" he complained.
Alex nodded, smirking. "That's the spirit, Andy. Just watch the stuff. Be responsible. I'll buy you - or get the lovely Miss Sky here to buy you - a double chocolate. If you misbehave, I'll eat it myself." Alex smiled, satisfied. "Sound fair, Jed-pie?"
"Jedi," Andre corrected, folding his arms. "And fine. I'll stay."
Alex smiled, turning to Vee, and dropping Belle a little wink as he gestured towards the ice cream van in the distance. "Shall we go then, Belle-erina and Toff-Vee." After a brief pause, he turned apologetically to Vee. "Sorry. I couldn't think of a good one for your name..." He smiled playfully. "At least it's a candy, right?"

Vee digs through her bag for her wallet when she heard Alex new nickname for her. She looked up smirking. "Really? Candy" she softy laughed and got her wallet out, shaking her head a little. "Well then lets go" she says and belle starts to happily skip towards the ice cream stand.
"I would make you a nickname but I'm not good at it" she tells Alex and starts to follow her sister. "Which makes you lucky"

"More like Supreme Sucky Lord of the Toilet," Andre said, childishly, folding his arms.
"Oh grow up, Andy," Alex smirked. "You're not four anymore. That isn't even an insult... It's just funny."
After a moment, Andre smiled. "Good. Just buy me ice cream."
"Rude," Alex chided, walking away. "See you, Andy. Behave."

"I feel bad for letting him watch the spot while we chose ice cream" she tells him as the made their way closer to the ice cream stand.
"Hurry up!" Belle calls out as she looks over the choices, at the same time Vee keeping her eyes on her sister through her sunglasses.
"We'll be their" she tells her then looks at Alex. "You know you could takes watch?" She tells him smiling. "After all you've been a bad boy with name calling"

"Oh... I don't know" she tells him, unsure of the thought. "What if i cant do it at all... Even with your help" vee tells him. The idea of surfing did sound fun to her but at the same time it also sound pretty scary to her. "Even if your really better then Danny" she rolls her eyes at that part.
Once they reached the ice cream stand she belle spoke. "I want the strawberry one"
"Are you sure?" Vee asks and looks to see what else their was.
"Hhmm" belle nods.
"How hard is it anyway?" Vee asks Alex, back on the topic of surfing. She was stating to think of actually doing it.
((Its ok. You should sleep))

He glanced up at her expectantly, trying not to get distracted by the way the sun and the breeze played with her hair, turning it into a swirling sea of colour, its normal, dark shade now reflecting the glinting gold of the sun. It was still that beautiful, rich shade of the darkest, ebony black, but it almost glowed in the sunlight.
((>.< I hope I described her okay... :D Sorry if I didn't...))

"I want my ice cream" belle pouts to her older sister and tugs on her arm to her attention.
"Alright alright" Vee says and looks at the guy with the icebreaker hat on his head. He must be the same age as them and is trying to earn money. "Can i get two scoops of chocolate in one cone, two scoops of strawberry in another cone, one scoop of chocolate chip ice cream and..." Vee looks at Alex and with a charming smile she says "What would you like oh dare supreme sucky lord of the toilet?" She asks him and bates her eyes sweetly, her little sister already in a laughing for.

Turning back to Vee, Alex laughed. "Oh yeah. He was rubbish at fractions. I tried so hard that time to help him get it right, it was a couple weeks before our end of year assessments and stuff and Danny was totally desperate not to mess them up. But he just couldn't get it... I ended up yelling at him and storming off. By the time I apologised..." He shot Vee a sidelong glance. "He had a new, very attractive tutor..." Alex teased, smiling and pulling playfully at a strand of her long black hair. "But I won't get mad. Promise."
He smiled, thinking of how totally offended he had been at the time when Danny had just replaced him with a new 'tutor.' Sure, Alex hadn't been the most patient, but they were best friends. That was total betrayal.
It hadn't helped when they started dating, either...

Vee scoffs playfully " kinda felt bad for Danny " she tells him. She takes out money form her wallet and hand it to the guy. Vee counties to talk as their ice cream was being made. "Attractive?" She smiles shyly. "Why thank you. But I'm glad Danny came to me for help. If not we wouldn't have never met and i wouldn't have dated him. Plus i wouldn't have met you" she adds. Belle got her ice cream handed to her first. "But sure I'll try it" she tells him. Vee gets her ice cream next. "But promise me you wont walk away stomping your feet?" She says and licks her ice cream.

Vee licked her minty ice cream, enjoying the cool feeling it gave to her mouth every time she breathed in. They made their way back to the spot where they had left Andrew at watch. "Two scoops of chocolate ice cream just like a promised you" she tells him.

Alex handed him the cone and Andre lapped at the ice cream greedily, flopping down on the towel again, chocolate smeared across his lips.
"You eat like a four year old," Alex laughed.
Andre shrugged. "I'm hungry. And thirsty. And this ice cream is good..."
"Glad to hear it," Alex smiled, popping open the bottle of lemonade and taking a long sip, before handing the bottle to Vee. "You want some, princesa? It's pretty hot out today..."

Belle settles on vee's towel. The little girl had already gone through her first scoop of her strawberry ice cream. "Hey Andrew want to help me with my castle while Alex and Vee surf?" She asks him.
Vee looks at Andrew, wondering what he would say now that he knew vee was going to, or at less planing to use his surfboard. She glanced to Alex to see what he would say it of he would wait and see if his little brother would get mad.

Alex smiled to himself. A couple of years ago, 'Andy' had decided that 'Andy' was a baby-name, and that he was going to be 'Andre' instead. He thought it sounded a lot more grown up. Not many people called him Andrew anymore, not people who knew him well. Aunts and Grandmas and other family members, as well as old friends, still called him Andy, but, other than that, Andy was just Andre.
But he seemed to have a soft spot for little kids. And it wouldn't matter whether they thought him babyish or not, would it?
Alex smiled, watching Andre race ahead of Belle on his longer, stronger legs, before laughing and scooping her up, carrying her towards the waves, where they sat in the shallows, collecting the sloppy mud for their castle.
"So..." Alex turned to Vee, savouring the last of his ice cream on his tongue, before chomping down on hard cone. "About that surfing lesson..."

"i will kill you if i drown" she warns him. she could imagine herself falling off the surf board.
((im sorry their short but i don't have my phone and im using some sort of slid phone and the typing sucks... like its so bad i just want to through this dumb thing. but ill make it up when i do get my phone... those took me about ten minutes...ugh!))

He laughed. "Good luck with that one, Sunshine. But don't worry. I'm not going to let you drown." He smiled at her. "Besides, 'long as you can swim, that's not really an issue." He raised an eyebrow, warily. "Wait, just checking, you can swim, right? Not that I doubt you or anything, but I'd really, really rather you didn't die..."
Alex glanced down at the sand he was absentmindedly sculpting into a tower with his hands. The sun was still baking the back of his neck. Maybe because of his mother's Spanish blood, Alex never burned, just tanned really easily, but his shoulder blades were starting to feel a little raw from the exposure. The sooner he could get back in the waves, the better.

((Oh! Sorry i thought it was ur turn. And lately ive been busy plus I'm having trouble with being on goodreads. Just not in the mood which sucks. Sorry!))

Alex laughed. "Like I said, have a little faith. I will not. Let. You. Drown." He held out a hand to her. "Promise. Scout's honour. Not that I was a scout or anything..." He shrugged. "But I'll take care of you," he laughed, flicking his hair out of his eyes and looking hurt. "Don't you trust me, Sky?"
His grey eyes gleamed, in part challenging and in part mischievous. Glancing down, he knocked the top off the lopsided tower he was building, making an attempt to straighten out the peak.
