I really liked the first book with this character (A Time to Kill), so I was disappointed it wasn't a better read. I've been reading so many other books lately that I enjoyed soooooo much more than this one.

That's a pity! Critics thought this was his best book, I heard. Maybe not true. I'm enjoying it so far. . . .

I've read several of his books and thought The Painted House was hands down his best book. I wish he'd write more like that. I'm shocked critics preferred Sycamore Row to A Time to Kill.

Just read the first four chapters and enjoying it so far. I like how he gives just the right amount of detail of the characters, setting, etc., which makes reading flow easily.

I'm about 2/3 through Sycamore Row and all I want to do is read. Thanksgiving is going to get in the way. Drat! It definitely keeps up the suspense and interest pretty consistently.

I finished Chapter 8 this morning and it's getting pretty good!

I finished it today. Boy what a slam dunk of an ending! An excellent book.

Hasn't anyone else finished this book??? I would love to hear what you think of it!!! Our meeting is next week on the 10th. I will report back on what the group thought and the average grade.

Does anyone know if they're making a film of this?

I couldn't find anything online after about a 10 minute check. That's odd.

It would make a great film, don't you think? But then all of Grisham's books are very filmable.

We had a very interesting discussion of this book today. The average score our readers gave it was a 4.1 (on a 5 point scale). It went for 90 minutes. And I was afraid there wouldn't be much to talk about. Ha!
