Caro (karopi) | 995 comments So this new year I set myself in 53. I know this is my average books per year... For this year I hope to reduce the amount of books from US and increase my books in spanish.... I also want to read more diverse.. Maybe diverse is not the correct word... If someone can help me to find the correct one... Maybe multicultural?

To be honest I was a bit disappointed. In theory it has the mix of things that I would love to read the idea is quite nice. But in practical terms I did not enjoy the book. They are parts that the words are changing and the grammar also change and for a non native speaker this is difficult, but also I must say that I really do not think in this book is read and forget. Now that you ask me about it I remember reading it but I remember my frustration. Is a book about books, about words... I really wanted to like it. But is a no for me.

Thanks a lot for your support! Hopefully I will manage to make all my challenge.

rebecca | velvet opus (velvetopus) | 48 comments Interesting review! I do like books about stories and/or words but dislike frustrating books... I might have to check it out to see for myself. What is your native language? You're going to do great!!

You can always give it a try. Not all the books are for everyone. For instance I did not like Where'd You Go, Bernadette and many people like it.

My native language is Spanish. But I live in Poland and is easier to get books in English.

rebecca | velvet opus (velvetopus) | 48 comments That is very true. Gracias! What are some of your favourite books from this year?

Caro (karopi) | 995 comments My favorite books so far are The Ten Thousand Doors of January and Nothing to See Here. I also tend to do some comments in the books I read :) What have been yours?

I shared my favourite 5 star reads in my reading goal post, here. I'm definitely going to add The Ten Thousand Doors of January to my reading list!
