Karen | 262 comments When I was in elementary school and old enought to go to the library (1997-2001) I loved these science books where pages had transparent parts that overlapped to show how things work. So maybe the body of an insect snd you would add on different parts of the body by flipping pages. There were several on many topics but I can't remember specific topics. The books were pretty small in dimension and short because they were for kids.

Thank you!

inaword | 149 comments Could it be scholastic’s First Discovery books? That’s what came up on google and the covers of those books resemble books with transparent pages I remember from my own childhood.

Great! Glad you found your book series, Karen. Thanks for the update.

Here's one of the "First Discovery series" books - inaword's find - Butterflies by Claude Delafosse.
