Those do look good, Jeanne. The premise reminds me of the Cecilia Gray series I read last year about four sisters following their father's wish to find titled husbands. There are differences in the individuals, but I did enjoy that premise.

You're welcome, Chelsea.! Happy Reading 😊
In addition to Austenesque novels, I read historical fiction, historical romance, and Regency romance. One book that I really enjoyed is Promised, by Leah Garriott.

Amazingly, it is a debut novel with Pride and Prejudice undertones. If you are a blogger, let me know if you are interested in reading and reviewing it and I can send you an ARC from the publisher.

Info from Gigi Blume's email newsletter. There's some freebie modern romances by various authors via Bookfunnel at this link:https://books.bookfunnel.com/speciale...
One of them is her own Confessions of a Hollywood Matchmaker, a prequel to her modern Austen-inspired Hollywood-set series. Don't know how long the freebies are available for or what the other authors/books are like but thought I'd pass the info on.

Loved the link offers.. thanks Anji!
Cass Grafton is starting a new series of modern-day non-Austensque fiction, set in Cornwall. The first book The Cottage in a Cornish Cove is available for pre-order at many online retailers. There's a short window to read the first four chapters at her blog:

Just read them myself and definitely want to read more.

Authors donating royalties for the relief funds for firefighter and wildlife charities in Australia. Australia
160 reviews: 76% 5-stars & 17% 4-stars
The first review [one-star] was really revealing in the buyer beware. It said that there were so many authors that they had to 'butchered' their stories in order to squeeze them into this anthology. If you don't care about that, and probably won't read it anyway, since you know that 100% of the royalties are going to the two charities, then it doesn't matter.

Summer Hanford has just published the first of a new non-Austenesque adventure romance series. It's title is Kestrel: Children of the Wald. Has anyone read any of the "Twisted Tale" books that are written by a group of authors taking on different classic fairy tales and giving them a new twist. The authors are Elizabeth Kim, Jen Calonita, and Elizabeth J. Braswell.I saw the book about the Cinderella story and thought it looked interesting and discovered there were 10 books in all. I am always hesitant to read new authors without getting some feedback from those who have read their books. Anyone here read any of the books? What did you think?

I haven't and I haven't read anything by those authors. Sorry I can't help, Danielle. I do love fairytale retellings so I'll have to check them out.

Hmmm... I haven't heard anything about this series or those authors either, but I'm definitely intrigued. I'm with Sophia about being a sucker for fairytale retellings! Thanks for bringing it up, Danielle. Will have to check it out.

Looks like it's legitimately Disney. I checked on So This Is Love and none of my friends have reviewed it. I really like the title, though. I'm going to go look more closely to see if it looks like something that would be a good gift for my MIL, SIL, daughters, or myself. :-D

Sophia, Debbie, and Marlene,I found some people from the Silent Book Club group who had read a few different ones and they liked them so I'm gonna give one a go....you can get them on Hoopla so if you want to check it out before buying any look there first.
Happy to share, I have found some of my new favorite books from hearing about them from you all. :-)
