Dorian abducts Farah and takes her to his estate at Ben More for her protection. Do you think he took her for other reasons, too? Deep down, do you think it was always his ulterior motive to marry her?

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1812 comments I was a bit suspicious of his motives here.
I think it would have been better if an attempt on her had been made on the page rather than us being told about it second hand. This way his motives would have been more clear.

Robin (robinmy) | 2478 comments I think he was using the fact that she was in danger as an excuse to take her to Ben More. It fit into his plans perfectly.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 3009 comments I agree with Robin. He really wanted to get to know her again and the threat was a good excuse to take her away. There was so much going on below Dorian's surface that it took a while to sort him out. I definitely think his plan was to marry her.

All those reasons gave me pause, too. It bore out that she required protection but if she’d not challenged Warrington, she’d have been fine. I still believed Dorian wasn’t even being honest with himself.

I think so too. Subconsciously, he knew he wanted to marry her and used the threat as an excuse to get her away to a place where he could protect her but also convince her.

I think so, too, Lauren.

I agree. He used the threat to get her away to convince her to marry him. I think he wanted to get to know her as an adult also and find out if she was still in love with him as he was with her.

The more I think about this, I'm convinced Dougan’s reaction was all about seeing Farah in person. It’s one thing to know she’s alive and in that building. It was something else to see her for the first time in almost 20 years.

I think Dougan needed time alone with Farah to see if the connection between them was still strong - strong enough for marriage. He needed to see if she would accept the man he had become and care for him the way she did the boy he once was. He had to learn to trust her and to trust himself with her. I loved the way this all played out.
