Barb | 1 comments I'm looking for a children's book from the 1950s about a man who is a trolley driver. The trolleys are retired when the city switches over to buses, and the man converts his trolley to a diner. The phrase "cool in summer, warm in winter, and dry in the rainy season" is repeated frequently throughout the book.

Barb, are you still looking for this or did you find it? Did you check out Jo's suggestion?

I can't see if the phrase is in the book, but it does seem extremely likely it's the one the OP is searching for. Moving to Solved.
